Diamonds are Forever--classic Bond.
Note: I'm probably going to watch the Wrestler whenever it opens in the theater I ended up missing a chunk on the film due to DVD player screw up. I like to ambience of the cinema anyway.

Kurt Warner to me is a real interesting HOF possibility. In 1999 and 2001 he had 2 great years throwing for 4,000+ yards and leading the Rams to two super Bowls winning one in 1999 against Tennessee.:flame: He had an average year in 2000. However from 2002-2004 he played in only 19 games due to injuries and ineffectiveness. 2004 he got replaced by Eli Manning halfway through the year. From 2005-2006 he signed with Arizona and played in half their games. Now from 2007 onward he has thrown for 57tds 31ints surpassing 3,000 yds in each year. During this past year Kurt threw for 4,583 yds and 30tds.
Now IF he wins the Super Bowl, he will be a two time winner with two different teams. The only guy that isn't in is Jim Plunkett who won two with the Raiders. His stats are far worse than Warner's 164td 198int vs 182td 114int for Warner.
Actually looking at the stats a little closer, Warner's 2000 season was injury filled as he missed 5 games yet he averaged 9.9yds per completion the highest of his career and also averaged 311yds per game--again the highest of his career. If I recall the Rams D sucked ass that year, I think they ended up losing a playoff game that year. That year the Rams scored 40 points 6 out of 11 games started. I would qualify this as a good year for Warner--the stats are a bit misleading as he struggled against Carolina during Week 14. Here his line for that game:
18 36 50.0 189 5.3 0 4 2 10 26.0
Note the 26.0 is the quarterback rating. 2= no of times sacked and 10=sack yards.
So in retrospect, Kurt Warner has started from 1999. In 1999-2001 he had great years--winning the NFL mvp twice (1999 and 2001). He also has a Super Bowl MVP (1999):flame:. From 2002-2006 for a myriad of reasons he struggled before finding a career renassiance from 2007 onward. That's 5 good years out of 10 including 3 great years. He also has a variety of numbers and awards to back him up. I think if he wins the Super Bowl he'll get in. If not it may be a borderline case.

Since you guy's are mentioning WCW, WWE is going to release a best of Starcade DVD this tuesday. The funny part is that Sting is on the cover (along with Flair and Dusty) since Vince bought the entire WCW archive collection along with the purchase of WCW.
I can't imagine the reality of the business being pretty. Long days on the road in shitty hotels and constant physical injuries must be the norm. Didn't the "reality" of the business get exposed after the Benoit murders?

Before The Devil Knows You're Dead
Solid Film. It has the added bonus of Marisa Tomei getting naked a whole bunch of times.

Oilers talked trash all week and Montana systematically destroyed that hyped Ryan defense.
Sigh. I actually enjoyed watching that 1993 defense play the most. I'm beginning to think Fisher is actually Marty Schotenheimer with a mustache. Both are good at rebuilding teams from scratch and achieving regular season success. But when it comes to the playoffs they always end up screwing the pooch somehow or another.
James, why did the Bills retain Dick Jauron? That move confuses me; the man inspires no confidence. He's in the good coordinator/bad head coach mold. Was Ralph Wilson too cheap to fire him? Just wondering.

I forgot about Bret's. I definatly would like that one. Whats that documentary that was made around the time of the Montrael screwjob that followed Bret around?
I read part of Bret's book at Border's a while back. The interesting part was that he basically said that he lost his passion for wrestling after the Montreal screwjob. It's extremely well-written. Triple H and Shawn come off as major weasels after Montreal. Apparently, the Undertaker really hated those two guys for a while after that.
NY Giants82 the name of the documentary is called Wrestling with Shadows. I'm pretty sure I saw it on the A and E channel once.

I am one dejected Titan fan right now. Although it seems to run in the DNA of the franchise Oilers/Titans to have these devastating playoff losses. I'm trying to figure out which one is the worst--there is a lot to pick from. The 1992 playoff loss--that's the 35-3 lead that was blown. How about 1993? They lost to an over the hill Joe Montana. In 2000, they lost 24-10 when they clearly dominated the Ravens (gained 24 first downs to 7 for the Ravens) and lost because their kicker missed 3 of 4 field goals one of which was returned for the GW touchdown. I'll probably watch some of the games tommorrow out of habit.
One thing though the Ravens are a cheap bunch. They tried to seriously injure Chris Johnson in the first half on a run. Ed Reed came by and as the play was ending he reached back and tried to break his neck (at least that's how the analyst described it). That's was uncalled for. He has entered Rodney Harrison territory for me. As for the loss itself, I can't totally blame the refs since they didn't make Alge Crumpler fumble inside the 10; or Lendale White fumble inside the 20 either. I hope the Steelers or Chargers destroy these guys. Time to root for the NFC teams again. I really hope the Panthers win the Super Bowl.

Damn, your real name is actually James Lofton? I thought it was an homage to the former NFL wide receiver. FWIW, I had similiar problem (breathing issues), they gave me an EKG and I had to take a chest x ray but the doctor said I was fine. I suspect it was anxiety related. Anyway, I hope you feel better.

Gran Torino--solid film. I don't think it is as strong as Changeling though. Like most Clint Eastwood films, it is heavy. The film discusses several relevant social issues. Clint plays an ornery old man quite well. There were a bunch of great one liners from Clint. The audience was laughing a lot. I'm going to keep this vague and spoiler free since I know some people on this forum want to see this film.
#1780 Re: Guns N' Roses » Who should be GNR's next lead guitarist? (If needed) » 887 weeks ago
Are we assuming that this version of GNR would tour too? If that's the case, I don't think Zakk would last very long since he would get pissed about the late starting time of the concerts. He'd probably drink himself silly waiting for Axl to show up.
I second the Marty Friedman suggestion. Tornado of Souls solo kills.
