I just got coma come along in my random playlst.. fuckin amazing song and fantastic outro.. best ever? well no..

from a lyrical standpoint, that outro is Axl's finest moment imo.

I'd put Catcher up there, too. The outro to that is lyrically brilliant.

Gotta say, far and away the best of these mash-ups is the If The World/Slither one. The melodies actually work with each other!

Chinese Democracy/Watch This

Yeah, that one sort-of works - it's in the right tempo and there's potential there, but anyone mixing the two songs together is constrained by the fact that you're having to cut and change Axl's vocals around the instrumental stuff. If they'd only hurry up and get the Slash solo album on Guitar Hero or Rock Ban so we can get at the moggs, that'd cease to be an issue!

Guitar and bass would do, though - you can always construct a drum track after the fact... I'm now wondering if it's possible to construct something from Chinese Democracy and Watch This. Really, we need Rock Band moggs for Slash's solo album - he'd better hurry up and cut a deal with 'em!

Anyone know if the moggs for She Builds Quick Machines and Slash's GH3 Guitar Battle are kicking around online? They could be quite useful for cobbling together another track...

I always wondered if GNR could've gone on if they wanted to during that time.  Would THEY have stayed relevant?

Bluntly, I doubt it. If they'd released the material they were working on in 95/96 - It's Five O'Clock Somewhere, This I Love, Fall To Pieces - it would've tanked. Axl was right, really; they needed to evolve to survive.

Does anyone have If The World? Want to try doing my own mix of that Slither/If The World mashup...

I may get killed for saying this, but this mashup is better in my opinion that either original.  I love it, can't stop listening to it.  Axl sounds awesome, great Slash Riff/Solo...  This song alone is the best Rocker on CD if its on CD...  Yes, better than "Better" and "CD", it kicks so much ass....

It's brilliant, isn't it? Mind you, there are one or two things I'd do differently. Thankfully, with the Moggs, I can! I'm really looking forward to cutting together an Axl/Slash EP...
