#17831 Re: The Sunset Strip » The SAW Thread » 933 weeks ago
There will be a yearly Saw film until one of them flops, and even then there might be a few more that go straight to DVD. Its this generation's Friday the 13th. Its not going away. However, I would like to give them some advice on how to try and prevent the franchise from dying sooner rather than later:
Change course on the main plot. Its time to retire the Jigsaw thing before it gets too ridiculous. He's already dead. Time to move on. The main reason people continue to go watch these are the creative traps. This can happen with many other plot lines besides going to the Jigsaw well one too many times.
It runs the risk of getting too stale. Final Destination had huge potential to be yearly cash cow as well, as people flocked to the theatres to see the creative deaths. However, they made a mistake by tying what happened in the 1st film with things that followed, and it got stale. They could have easily created new storylines with the same basic premise but didn't do it.
By the way, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead sounds like a great film.

Interesting. Hadn't heard about this. I think its more likely it is some classified government project doing this instead of aliens.

I'm quite sure that interview with Armstrong is fake, mainly because he rarely mentions anything about the moon trip. Not because he's hiding alien info, but because he doesn't want to fuck up during questions about the moon landing, which would prove it never happened.
The reason all kinds of data on the Apollo missions is "missing" is because in the 21st century, access to that info and footage could easily prove the landings never happened. Its why we will never see the clear footage of those landings.
I actually agree concerning the possibilities of alien bases on the moon. A few scientists over the years have theorized that the moon itself is artificial. The way it orbits and you can never see its other side is quite unique. Its also the only moon in the solar system where eclipses can occur.

I think when the tripwire is crossed in Iran, it will turn into a major conflict with US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia on one side, and Iran, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and the Iraq resistance on the other side. Some countries will try and stay neutral, try being the keyword.

I think a major conflict can erupt without WWIII taking place. I agree with you that Putin is very smart, and I honestly consider him the most effective leader on the world stage this decade. In fact, he is the greatest world leader since Reagan left the global stage in Jan. 1989.
I do not think Russia will get involved in a Mideast conflict. Neither will China. They will sit back and watch us kill ourselves, and Russia will take our place as the big boy on the block.
Yeah, the switch to the Euro is whats causing alot of this shit. It has nothing to do with "weapons of mass destruction". Another country which is considering a switch to the Euro is Saudi Arabia.
The US is losing its influence by the day. It is having to bully its way to what influence it still has left. We are even losing our influence in Europe as Russia gains more ground.
I predict that within 10 years, NATO no longer exists.

HA! Good one. If I had thought of that the other day, we might try it.:haha:
A new name has been chosen. It will be unveiled soon.
That was a good post buzzsaw.
abbey, I agree 100%. There's no need for anyone to respond to his crap. He just continues to show the type of person he is. He is only interested in trash talking. He still hasn't apologized to any ROV members, or gave an explanation. It shows how he really feels about each and every one of you. Only reason he is bringing the site back is because he is pissed that people moved on. If none of us had done anything, he would still be doing his disappearing act.
