I really don't think of any Floyd albums post "The Final Cut" as being Floyd albums. Some might even say "The Wall".

Gilmour sang (since Waters didn't like singing) and he played guitar, but he was better as a co-writer with Waters. Waters is responsible for the best/most interesting material the band created.

A Momentary Lapse of Reason (while I like some of the songs on it) is probably the album I really don't call a PF album. Same with The Final Cut for the most part. I agree with what you are saying; but Pink Floyd ("the brand and name") was gained by Gilmour and Mason in 1986/87. I feel The Endless River is a Pink Floyd album since Wright is involved and alot of team that have worked with Floyd over the years are on it. Yes the album would of been superior with Waters' craftsmanship at lyrical wit and songwriting arrangements; but I was happy to get new music either way and I wasn't disappointed. They could of kept those sessions locked up ala Axl; but doing that for the fans and having Live 8 is more than enough to me. I don't think the 2011 O2 show for The Wall will be the last time Gilmour and Waters jam together though.

Clone John Lennon...

I don't consider two or three songs at an event a proper reunion. A Pink Floyd tour, or just a full show, would be the nuts. I saw Waters perform Dark Side of the Moon at one of his shows, and while great I did miss Gilmour and Mason.

ABBA would be huge because of all the hits and the female crossover. You can still hear Dancing Queen every day on the radio. There aren't many bands with that mass appeal, not even Floyd and Zeppelin. Only Beatles could compete with it I think.

Sadly with the death of another important and founding member of the Floyd, "Richard Wright" a couple years ago, Pink Floyd ended on a high note with the album, "The Endless River" and Gilmour and Mason officially saying so in the press. The Live 8 Reunion with Waters is the last time you'll see the original band sans Syd Barrett ever again. Gilmour is still doing Pink Floyd cuts on his solo shows for his latest solo album which features a few appearances of Richard Wright. Roger Waters says he has one more album and solo tour in him. The Wall tour has finished and the concert film that was released a few months ago highlights the performances.

Who is monkeynuts? Or is this a nickname for me...Lol if it's an actual user then it's not me! smile

I have occasionally posted at MyGNR as "ChunderMonkey" but although it's good for news I could never handle all the 'troll' type posts - too many people I want to disagree with I don't know where to start over there lol.

Monkeychow has always been one of my all time favorite forum members and when coming back last year I was disappointed by his absence. I would love for him to come back and he's certainly welcome here.

Thanks guys! I'm happy to be back - I've missed this place - all that stuff in the past got out of hand and it's silly to let that spoil the online fun here....I probably should have come back ages ago.

I have lost complete respect for the Smith family. I will say this again, Will Smith turned down "The Matrix", "Django Unchained", I think a Pixar movie, and a few other top movies that eventually got nominations because either he wasn't going to be the lead or the director wouldn't agree to his changes to the script or salary for said movie. He said no to the Matrix and instead did that crapfest, Wild Wild West produced by Mr. crazy, Jon Peters. Also his latest film, "Concussion" got mixed reviews from critics; so there weren't many chances of him even getting a nomination despite his performance. This happens alot and it has nothing to do with race; so these SJWS or celebs trying to jump on the bandwagon need to stop pulling that bullshit card in the media. 17

Yes there are problems with the Oscars, The Grammys, The Golden Globes, The Rock N' Roll Hall of Shame, and a bunch of other penis measuring contests...I mean...award shows. But this isn't one of them. Also Jada...sit down. You turned down getting a pretty good deal doing multiple seasons of that Gotham TV show on FOX; but only wanting to do one season and then later talked bad about the program after you finished filming. She's so full of shit and so are her bratty, over-privileged kids. Jaden can't act out of a paper bag now that he's an adult and M. Night's movie, "After Earth" proved it. Also doesn't help that Will Smith wanted some Scientology references or symbolism within the movie's script. That's why Will got a producer and co-writer on the screenplay credit while M. Night and I think Fox wanted to hide from the fucking movie. Also their daughter, Wilo or whoever did that one lame pop song that was just a minor hit on the charts only because her daddy had the power to do that. What does Will Smith want his kids to become the next Rockwell? lol

I sincerely hope Suicide Squad is great and Smith can work with a team of actors; but right now I'm so sick of this pointless drama that the press keeps festering and people blindly following it without checking the facts. Shame on some of these celebs for backing them and I hope Chris Rock realizes they are full of shit (highly doubt it) before the actual ceremony.

I miss Monkey. He was one of the peace keepers and his track with Bugs Skully kicked ass. Bono is alright, I've had a few good chats with him and some of his alternative accounts before he got banned.

What seats do you want?  I might have 2 extras for Saturday (not sure yet).

I'd be interested in one of those, buzz!

It may be a little while before I know for sure.  I have a friend that said he wants a pair, but he can be a little flaky like Axl sometimes.

Most of the friends I go to concerts with flake out all the time; so I definitely understand that.
