#18051 The Sunset Strip » Lindsey Lohan broke » 923 weeks ago

She may be clean and sober, but a recent report in News of the World claims Lindsay Lohan faces a new challenge '” getting out of debt! After checking out of the Cirque Lodge, lil' LiLo is so cash-poor from the high cost of drugs and rehabilitation, she's staying in a guest house owned by executive producer and billionaire financier Tom Gores.

'Lindsay doesn't have much choice as she is totally broke,' a source told the newspaper. 'The only reason she's coming back to L.A. is to earn some money fast. She still thinks nothing of blowing thousands of dollars on a single night of partying. And the amount she has wasted putting cocaine up her nose is disgusting. Even she has lost count.'

Not tallying the untold money spent on her alleged cocaine use, Lindsay's other bills mounted quickly over the last year. NOTW states that one hotel stay alone ran over a million dollars once the high cost of keeping chauffeurs on standby and sipping Cristal were factored in. Another million reportedly went to clothes, plus 70Gs for hairstyles and 'tanning' (otherwise known as LiLo's orange glow), as well as hefty tabs for cars, parties and lawyers.

And last, there was the major expense for treatment. The three well-publicized rehab stays came with huge price tags, costing $30,000, $45,000 and $62,000 respectively. 'Rehab does not come cheap and Lindsay has spent a fortune on it this year,' the source said. 'Her first two stays there sadly proved a complete waste of money for her.' And shockingly, NOTW's source added, 'I can't see this time being any different.'

Go with the 360. The ultimate football experience can only be found on a 360. Wii is more geared towards kids and also a party type atmosphere. It doesn't get all the big games either, although Nintendo does have its own exclusives(Mario, Metroid, Zelda,etc.).

LOS ANGELES - Britney Spears is no stranger to being photographed, but it's not often she has her fingerprints taken at the same time.

On Monday night, Spears reported to a Los Angeles police station to face charges of hit and run and driving without a valid license, police said.

Officer Mike Lopez said Spears turned herself in around 9 p.m. and left about 45 minutes later. Spears was fingerprinted and photographed, he said.

"She was fine, cooperative," Lopez said. "She did her business and came out."

Spears, 25, was wearing large designer sunglasses and a black turtleneck dress and jacket. As she left the station, she told KCAL-TV that all went smoothly.

"They were nice," she said of police. She told the station she was wearing the sunglasses because she had pinkeye.

The charges stem from an Aug. 6 wreck during which paparazzi filmed Spears steering her car into another vehicle as she tried to turn into a spot in a Studio City parking lot. The video showed her walking away after assessing the damage to her own car.

The owner of the other car, Kim Robard-Rifkin, filed a police report three days later.

Spears had been ordered to report for booking ahead of an Oct. 25 court appearance.

She has been spending considerable time dealing with legal issues lately. On Oct. 1, a court commissioner ordered her to temporarily relinquish custody of her two young sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline, citing concerns over Spears' drug and alcohol use.

She was in court last week to appeal the order and was granted one overnight stay a week with her boys, but the visits must be monitored.

i dunno Brady is pretty damn cool under pressure

You should have seen Montana. At the SB against the Bengals where they were losing and time was running out, teammates talked about how in the huddle he was mentioning how he noticed John Candy in the audience. He threw the winning TD.

One thing I will never forget, and this happened in the twilight of his career, he took an average team(the Chiefs) into Houston(Oilers back then). Buddy Ryan's defense was the talk of the league, and Buddy and his players were trash talking. Montana tore that defense apart in prime time, and the Oilers never recovered. Its one of the best ownings in league history.

Also, Montana is one of the main reasons that kick ass Bears team of the mid 80's only won one SB instead of being a dynasty.

I think people are counting his stage presence and offstage antics along with his actual resume as an artist. if you go by resume alone, he doesn't rank nearly as high. Cornell would rank higher based on body of work and his ease at moving forward with the times.

Sure that resume is incredible, but its not yet big enough to warrant comparison to the likes of McCartney, Plant, etc.

We really need to realize that we are watching perhaps the best QB of all time in his prime.

I wouldn't go that far. No one will ever touch Montana, although Brady is as close as it gets. Other than the fact Montana was a genius, every target he had to throw to was a dangerous weapon. Brady is entering a similar phase in his career, and is doing it younger than Montana did. Lets see Brady go to a team like Detroit and take them to a title game.

The main thing that will always separate Montana from the rest of the elite is he was THE clutch player. He was Michael Jordan before there ever was a Michael Jordan.

I think he's ruining his career. M.I.A. is another small artist, yet she is even bigger than him. If she started releasing a ton of albums, it would overwhelm people and they would just move on. They might go see her shows, but no one is interested in that much material.

If BH is interested in making money, he should set his sights on making one great mainstream album instead of releasing 20 small ones.

Although I would believe a Universal release list. The album cant come out until it is on one of their lists.

Yeah, I do believe that is a record.

If I were his agent, I would tell him to cut back on the releases. He's oversaturating his small fanbase. I am a huge BH fan, but there is no way in hell I can keep up with that many albums.

#18060 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » VR - Why the Sophomore Slump? » 923 weeks ago

The album is way past the point of being saved. Its been out too long. An artist has to strike while the iron is hot, and the Libertad iron is as cold as a witch's tit.

I try not to put down the album too much since music is subjective, but there was nothing on this album to grab people by the balls. There was no rocker that had summer hit written all over it, and the ballads were very average. Two songs that had potential(Messages and Psycho Killer) weren't even on the album.

Psycho Killer would have been a good 1st single. I could easily see that getting a ton of airplay on VH1.

Like I said, you gotta strike while the iron is hot. GNR is going to have to deal with the same thing. The wrong choice of songs or the wrong choice of a 1st single will kill the record. Society is different now. The attention span of the public is very short. You have to release your best song first.
