Last I heard about Friday the 13th remake is they were trying to rush a script, which obviously doesn't bode well for the quality of the film, but you can see why they are doing it. The film industry may get more devastated than the tv industry. Films get written and go into production long before release, so next summer and fall might see a ton of garbage make it into theatres.
