Yeah, would've been interesting to see his stance on Reagan and the Cold War. Probably would have vented against the greed and excess of the 80's as well.

But how would the music have sounded? He would have had to jump on a trend or two to be relevant. Bands that couldn't or wouldn't adapt to the 80's didn't survive.

I also agree that The Beatles would have reunited.

I thought this was bullshit but I guess its legit afterall. So he will be on 4 tracks this year, which is a third of an album, none of which are GNR songs.

Interesting way to test the waters.

I know Putin isn't the most well loved leader in the world, but if he were murdered, it could lead to disastrous consequences. He is very influential on the world stage, and if something happened to him it would create a power vacuum. While it may not appear so since we are fighting two wars, he helps keep the US in check.

MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin has been told about a plot to assassinate him during a visit to Iran this week, a Kremlin spokeswoman said Sunday.

The spokeswoman, who spoke on customary condition of anonymity, refused further comment.

Interfax news agency, citing a source in Russia's special services, said suicide terrorists had been trained to carry out the assassination.

A spokesman for Iran's foreign ministry, Mohammad Ali Hosseini, denied any such plot had been uncovered, characterizing the news as disinformation spread by Iran's adversaries.

"These sort of reports are completely baseless and in direction with psychological operations of enemies of relations between Iran and Russia," Hosseini said in a statement.

Putin is to travel to Tehran on Monday night from Germany after meetings with Chancellor Angela Merkel.

During his visit to Iran, Putin is to meet with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and attend Tuesday's summit of Caspian Sea nations.

He will be the first Kremlin leader to travel to Iran since Josef Stalin attended a 1943 wartime summit with Britain's Winston Churchill and President Franklin Roosevelt.

Officials have reported uncovering at least two other plots to kill Putin on foreign trips since he became president in 2000.

Ukrainian security officials said they foiled an attempt to kill Putin during a summit in Yalta in August 2000. And in 2001, Russian security officials said a plot to assassinate Putin earlier that year in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, had been uncovered by the Azeri special services.

Russian officials linked both alleged plots to Chechen separatists. Putin had sent troops back into the southern Russian republic to crush resistance to Moscow's rule.

I watched the movie Freeway with Reese Witherspoon and Keifer Sutherland earlier tonight. Great film. Had never seen it before. Last night I watched Monster's Ball. Incredible. Hard to believe its been out almost 7 years and I had never watched it, and I am a big movie buff and huge Halle Berry fan.

Then you must have loved the "scene" that everyone talked about when that movie first came out. :bed:

I actually thought the scene was a bit overrated. It wasn't bad, I just expected more out of it. Halle is supposed to be a screamer in bed, and she should have expressed that.

Maybe foreign films have raised(or lowered depending on how you look at it) my standards when watching films. Everything that comes out of Hollywood is so cookie cutter safe that I have trouble taking things seriously in alot of their films now.

I also can see 1408 not being a great film to watch multiple times. I'll avoid that one like the plague.

My week 6 analysis......

Looks like San Diego is attempting to save their season, although a win against the Raiders doesn't prove anything. Its a step in the right direction though. Chicago is collapsing, although at least the game was close. Cleveland wins again. That team is an anomaly, as they aren't really that good, but find ways to win. If they get a wildcard spot, its a team you do not want to play. Green Bay wins a close one against a pretty good skins team, and shows they are apparently for real. Jacksonville beats Houston, and like Cleveland are a team to watch out for this year. Like Chicago, Cincy is collapsing, while KC is trying to stay afloat in a mediocre division. Philly finds a way to win against a weak Jets team. NFC east is very competitive this year. Tampa wins again, and like Cleveland, you better watch out come the playoffs. Tampa is even more dangerous since they are in the NFC. No dominant teams to worry about. Carolina wins with Testaverde, and they are shaping up to be a surprise team as well. NE kills Dallas, and maybe the Dallas bandwagon will start to decrease in size. Also looks like the Saints are about to kill Seattle as well.

The main thing achieved this week is showing how the NFC is completely wide open this season. The Bears are a disaster, and with Seattle showing no dominance, the whole conference with the exception of the Rams has a shot at the playoffs.

The NFC needed a dominant team(or two) to be able to create a sort of totem pole to know exactly where to place teams. That didn't happen this season, and although The Packers and Cowboys are 5-1, they are by no means dominating the conference.

Its up for grabs, and I could easily see a team like Tampa, Carolina, or even Arizona going to the SB.

I would probably go see them as well if they played in my area.

A war with Iran will be over a destabilized dollar. They are threatening to dump the dollar and replace it with the Euro. That will create a domino effect.

He could try running as an independent, although its basically mission impossible to get elected. An independent usually ends up playing a spoiler type role in the election.
