Hey - are the 2002 soundboard recordings available to download anywhere? I lost 'em when my old hard drive died on me, feel like giving them a spin again and wallowing in the Bucketheady goodness...

Fuck off, ey? Pity he's not selling one of his Les Pauls - I love his tone. Not that I could afford one anyway!

as far as leaks go, the other two songs I am suprised did not leak are Silkworms and Atlas Shrugged. They were on the 11 track disc that Classic Rock had.

That's 'cause the Classic Rock disc wasn't leaked, it was played to them by someone who was involved in the album's production. Their review of the demos was based partly on the publicly leaked tracks, and partly on the editoral team's opinions of the additional tracks they heard.

So I wouldn't expect anything from that disc to leak any time soon; it's never been circulated in public.

Oh, I hope they do Europe. It'll be so good to see this band again! smile

Gotta say, for all that I love Bumble, I miss the Buckethead version of Nightrain - the absence of that little "extra" solo he does after his first solo on the song is keenly felt...

Y'know the bit - 2:21 on this video:

Fucking amazing song though, I loved the spain version....i'd love to see it done more often.

Yeah, it's one of their best new songs. Pity Axl didn't think to leave any breathing spaces in the vocal line. smile

I want to hear the band doing Civil War and TWAT live. And maybe If The World.

They'd fit in best at Sonisphere to be honest, and they'd have a smoother running show at Reading/Leeds. At download it will be fill with Emo/Scene kids and premaddona Metalheads. GNR will get slaughtered, mocked and laughed at if they play Download.

Like last time! They should play Reading, clearly. And not just because it's down the road from me. smile

Mm, not sure I fancy a festival. Really pisses me off the way they expect you to buy tickets on trust and only then announce the bands. Fuck that. Hopefully they'll play some additional UK dates - or I could do what I did last time and schedule a trip to Dublin to visit the family around a GN'R gig...

I agree, besides Downloads a bit of a trek for me, hopefully they do some other UK dates. Only festival I'd go to for GNR is Leeds because it's about 15 minutes away 16

I'd consider Reading, 'cause my parents live five minutes down the road from there. But again, I'd have to know that GN'R was performing there; none of this rumour and speculation bullshit.

The other festivals can go hang.

If Axl had turned up at the 2002 VMAs having trained up, lost some weight and got his voice into shape - and if he'd been sporting his 2006 look - he would've slayed that crowd. If he'd then released Chinese Democracy a couple of months later it would've been MASSIVE. The revolving door of musicians wasn't a joke at that point; people might've got over the absence of Slash once they'd seen how good Buckethead was (and remember, this was 2002; freaky-looking guitarists were the in thing among the MTV crowd, look at Limp Bizkit...).

A trained-up Axl doing the VMAs and not dressing like a tool - Better as the first single, swiftly followed by the album, then singles of If The World and TWAT... Axl would've been king of the world. Ah well, so many "if only"s.
