#182 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Steven Adler on Opie and Anthony HUGE GNR thing » 846 weeks ago
I just wanna know what corner Matt is working.
Yes, I'm that big of a fan.
#183 Re: Guns N' Roses » New Chris Pitman Interview » 848 weeks ago
Pittman talks about GnR like it's a side project or something.
It would be nice to have guys in the band that only focused on GnR, but for that to happen, GnR would have to be an active band all the time, wouldn't they?
Anyway, Pittman seems like a decent guy in his interviews.

Uh, no.... No offense, dude, but you obviously haven't paid any attention to who Axl is over all these years. Nothing will make Axl change his position and God help the person who tries to teach him a lesson.
VH and GNR are 2 totally different animals. This is for dough. Nothing else. Azoff ain't sacrificing a red penny to teach Axl anything. I doubt there's some big scheme to all of this, other than wishful thinking
But I do agree GNR will get a negative reaction from VH fans. It'll be a disaster.
No offense taken, just a thought.
I wonder if they can put dressing rooms far enough apart for this one.

"IF" the VH/Guns tour rumors are true, I am believing that this would be Azoff's way of showing Axl how people who HATE each other can tour together. With only monetary penalties as the way of keeping the peace.
Anyone who has seen the VH tour rider at smokinggun.com can read between the lines, as to what dressing rooms and persons should be kept apart at all times.

Perhaps, Eddie will give Axl a financial pep talk about how much money is to be made by inviting along former band members back as employees, which is what he has done with both Hagar, Michael Anthony and Roth at different times.
Control is maintained by the VH brothers (and son), and Roth is paid a salary. Who would have ever thought VH would reunite and Roth wouldn't be talking shit into every microphone thrust into his face?
I also believe that Guns will get a strong negative reaction from the VH fans, which may or may not help Axl reconsider his position.

Really, (about Starship?)?
That's ballsy!
Can you tell me who was in the band at that point?
So, maybe Axl can get replaced, too?
#187 Re: Guns N' Roses » More ridiculous, Guns N' Roses or Black Sabbath? » 848 weeks ago
I was trying to compare the current Guns situation to the late 1980's/early 1990's Sabbath stuff.
Both pretty wacky in their own right, Iommi making proclamations similiar to those of Axl and trying to get people to buy into the revolving door as being due to other's behavior and lack of commitment.
So, I guess it's unanimous that's Guns is the joke now.

But currently in Black Sabbath hell the original lineup has reunited on numerous occasions and Black Sabbath's current iteration has changed it's name.
So, I'm guessing your vote is that at the present time, Guns behavior is more ridiculous?
I'm leaning that way, too.

As a child of the late 80's early nineties, I remember reading and hearing about what a huge joke Sabbath had become due to huge and constant lineup turnover.
In my opinion, with the addition of DJ Ashba, we are now in Black Sabbath hell with the Guns.
Here's a list of All members of Black Sabbath through the years:
Ozzy Osbourne
Tony Iommi
Geezer Butler
Bill Ward
Vinny Appice
Bev Bevan
Jo Burt
Bob Daisley
Ronnie James Dio
Ian Gillan
Ray Gillen
Glenn Hughes
Tony Martin
Neil Murray
Geoff Nicholls
Cozy Powell
Bobby Rondinelli
Eric Singer
Dave Spitz
Dave Walker
And here's Guns:
Axl Rose
Dizzy Reed
Tommy Stinson
Chris Pitman
Richard Fortus
Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal
Frank Ferrer
DJ Ashba
Steven Adler
Izzy Stradlin
Gilby Clarke
Slash
Matt Sorum
Duff McKagan
Josh Freese
Paul Tobias
Buckethead
Bryan "Brain" Mantia
Robin Finck
Kind of a bummer watching the great ones do themselves wrong.
