I'd be happy if Robin didn't come back and Bucket replaced him.  His solos on the album would be dead easy for Ron and Bucket to play, and we would have a live show that sounds exactly like the album, which imho is exactly what is needed.  We don't want GNR to end up as a band that people think can't play for shit live, and without Bucket on board, this is exactly what is going to happen.

Agreed guys.  I was pretty suprised that Axl would put Bucket on the first pages of the liner notes.  The way the booklet reads it's as though Bucket is still 100% part of GNR.  What do you think the chances of him returning for a world tour are?

What do you guys think of Rons solo on Riadh?  I'm missing the end of buckets solo with the vibrato just as the vocals come back in, that was one of my favorite parts of his.  Rons' new solo doesn't fit in anywhere near as good as far as I'm concerned.

Finck actually does a great job on this!

Yes but I do wonder how many takes it took to get it right, 2000? 10000?

Damn Ron's solo in Riadh took the song down a few notches!  It was my favorite but not any more.  neutral

I wish this album was released back in 01 when the fucker was done!

Yes this album should have dropped in 2001.  Maybe it took the new management team to negotiate a release where all others had failed.

At this stage I'd be suprised if Bucket didn't show up for a GNR tour.  The band will not sound anything like the record if he doesn't come back.

The outro.

I always thought he just did the acoustic guitar work. I am as shocked as anyone that he did solos on the song.

That's the part I always thought was Bucket.  bucket

I knew Buckethead had lead guitar on "street of dreams/the blues" but no bugger believed me. I'm almost positive that Finck has the first part of the first solo only, the rest being Bucket.  Anyone agree?
