I'll always be interested in what the AFD era members are up to. I'll always come to this board as long as it includes an Axl/fakeGNRsection, a Slash/VR section & a former gunners section. I also like the subforums & dominating fantasy football:) But seriously, even though I find Axl to be an unfunny joke, Steven to be a fuckup, and Slash, Duff & Izzy to be not as exciting as they once were......the kid in me will always enjoy reading about what they are up to. This doesn't mean I'll buy their music or go to their shows(i don't, except for VR), it just means GNR made a serious impression on me as a youth & I find those guys & their lives entertaining.

There's no reason fakeGNR couldn't do a well planned out tour in the USA to capitalize on all the wannabe GNR fans. You know, the kids that think CD sounds like a realGNR album.

Customs officials recover 33,000 boxes of fake Ferrero Rochers

PARIS - Ten tons of chocolate bonbons could stuff a lot of stockings this holiday season — but instead they will be under the lock and key of French customs agents.

The French customs service announced Tuesday that officers at the giant Rungis international market outside Paris seized nearly 33,000 boxes of gold-foil-wrapped morsels, on suspicion that they were counterfeit Ferrero Rochers, a popular Italian chocolate brand.

Lab tests and an examination by Ferrero itself found that the seized candies were harmless but low-quality copies. They arrived in France by refrigerated truck from Turkey and were seized in late November.

Legal proceedings are under way between Ferrero and the chocolates' importer, said Sophie Hocquerelle, a spokeswoman for the French customs office.

"It was the first time we had ever seized chocolates," Hocquerelle said — and what a seizure: 10 tons of coconut-filled dark chocolates and milk chocolate balls worth an estimated $312,000.

The customs office said the fake Ferreros confirmed a trend seen in recent years of counterfeiters moving on from luxury goods like leather handbags and expensive perfumes to more day-to-day consumer goods like food, medicine and car parts.

By last month French customs agents had seized 5.4 million counterfeit items this year, up from 4.6 million in all of 2007.

As for those chocolates — they're to be destroyed.

Wow, that was about as close as it gets PasNow. I thought my decisions to start some guys had backfired, but was surprised to see I had eeked it out this morning. Anyways, good work on beating down the HTGTH crowd all season long. I think it was either you & I in 1st the entie time?

It was funny, I saw James' post about them spouting off & went and read the HTGTH fantasy football thread. It started out with nothing but rips on all of our teams, then after a few weeks into the season, nobody over there really mentioned the Shackler's league anymore. 16

It's like putting a band-aid on a guy having a heart attack. The problems here are so deep rooted, that simply giving these fools cash isn't going to solve anything. Some of them probably just need to go away & the ones remaining need to make a fundamental change in the way they do business.

Hey, it's an all GNRevolution championship! Looks like both PaSnow's & my teams literally limped to the finish. It'd be nice if Marion Barber would just sit, instead of making me sweat out every possession of the Cowboy games.

So when Axl's GNR plays to 1/3 full arena's, is that BestBuys fault as well?

So, Axl was definitely already aware of the impact that Walmart has on album sales.  Which makes the BB decision that much more curious.

The BB offer was a godsend for Axl & Co.. No way was any other place going to give them a deal like BB did. Obviously, if Walmart had made a comparable offer, GNR would've gone that route since it's a bigger retailer. GNR made out like bandits on the BB deal.

Do people on this board really think they would've sold 1.6 million(in the USA) copies at $9 a piece already if it hadn't been a retail exclusive?
