Republican Senate incoming....
Man...the Dems really did shit the bed this cycle.
Both parties do this but for this cycle I think the Dems did the scary boogeyman too much or it just didn’t sell or wasn’t realistic.
I’m talking about the Project 25 stuff and like the mass deportations of people. This vote or die aspect that they seem to always have turns people off.
As someone who leans left, no the fucking world will not end just because Trump gets a second term. It cracks me up when I read those people , that’s it, I’m moving to Canada.

I'm also wondering about these veep picks. Vance was/is horrific....but Walz was a dud as well.
What happened to choosing someone who will help the ticket? Remember those days?
The last few elections have told us…that these people don’t matter. There have been some god awful ones and they don’t move the needle at all. It’s all on the President pick at this point. I mean that’s clear to me . It might as well be a cutout and you’d get the same benefit.

I'm wondering what happened with the so called "Kamala Republicans".
A voting bloc that didn't show up?
I think they showed up. They just weren’t big enough to counteract the bro vote gains that Trump made.
They are just an extension of the college educated urbanites that ID was taking about.

You cannot place all your chips on women. You can’t just appeal to college educated whites, and blacks. They lost centrists like they lost me
The “white guys for Harris” was embarrassing.
I give you props on this . I think she fucked up on the economy/inflation too. Everyone can understand that their (insert essential item here ) went up 5-10x as opposed to when Trump was in there .
You can say the economy is fine but you better be able to explain how you are going to fix that or why it went up so drastically.

I'm dreading Hershel Walker as the head of missile defense...and Elon running the Department of Government Efficiency....DOGE.
Im hoping this was just trolling and none of that happens...same with Kennedy.
No matter which side wins...we must pray for a competent cabinet.
If the "Blue Wall" collapses, this is verging into Reagan landslide territory.
Is Cali in play? Before anyone laughs, there's a shit ton of Republicans here. I've always wondered if/when it would swing red again.
I’ll give him credit on that , In retrospect the first cabinet wasn’t bad at all.
You would know Cali better , but I just assume that the party and that apparatus is fucked up and fractured that it’ll take some time to build up there.
You want a good laugh? Another site I frequent a lot pitched Newsom as the next dem candidate in 2028? Lol yeah that will work.

Is it too early to ask this....
Should Biden have just stayed in the race? Would his chances really have been any worse?
Good question. Ultimately in the end I don’t think it mattered if neither candidate was going to pull in the younger minority vote.
I mean Biden had his issues too. They would blasted him with old out of touch guy stuff. He maybe wins a bit more votes .
I’m dreading them putting RFK in an HHS Secretary role though, he belongs nowhere near that.

I guess this is what happens when you place someone into the general election who only received 1% of the vote in a couple primaries four years ago.
Both sides should learn a valuable lesson from that....
Don't force anyone into the slot while bypassing primaries.
I totally miscalculated this. Somehow Trump got 25% of the black vote and increased Latino vote share.
Yeah you’re right. Don’t shoehorn somebody in and FFS don’t run an old senile fart in the first place for reelection when he’s closing in on 80.
They got nobody to blame on that one.

Looks like voter turnout is insanely high in some of these key states.
As I'm sure you guys know, high voter turnout usually means the election is leaning blue...at least in the 21st century anyways.
I saw someone from Charlotte on Reddit say they spotted this sign after voting...
“No MAGA, No Trump, give us our Republican Party back”
Fuckin' A.
The 80s had the Reagan Democrats.... we're on the verge of seeing if the Kamala Republicans swing the election in the battleground states.
It's insane how many people in Trump's administration have endorsed her.
This election is basically a repeat of 2020 without the pandemic.
Here are your choices....
1. Trump
2. Not TrumpIt's pathetic we've reached the point where Kamala of all people will likely ascend to the presidency.
Just one more reason Trump should've moved on after 2020.
The country is going to keep doing this until the GOP decide to flush MAGA once and for all.
No matter who wins, the Dems need to make changes as well. A LOT of people are sick of this woke nonsense and they are damn lucky Republicans keep pushing all these loonies and grifters.
We can't have an election that shows the public wants it flushed once and for all because it always takes a backseat to the MAGA shit.
I lean left but agree with most of this. Democrats are lucky actually, the woke stuff was minor because Trump (and Vance) kept on giving them campaign ad material on a weekly basis it seemed.
It should have been a fucking wake up when Dick Cheney of all people endorsed Harris. Deep down inside I think most non wingbat Republicans want him to lose and go away. They can’t win or even plot a new messsage because the guy takes up all the fucking oxygen in the room when he speaks.
They also fucked up big time in assessing the results in 2016 and beyond. It wasn’t really a movement or a shift ; it was a one off that they got lucky and stars aligned. After he loss in 20, should have replaced him.
What they need to do is to find someone that sounds reasonable who can be the face of the party (short or long term). And find a woman who understand their (GOP women) concerns. Because I bet there are going to be a ton of crossover votes just because they feel their issues aren’t being addressed or listened to.

Didn’t know where to put this but Quincy Jones died yesterday. Like Tony Bennett before him , he was a link to previous generations that is now lost forever.

Valid points above but I agree with slashsfro....
Kamala wins.
Trump had it in the bag months ago but just an avalanche of shit since.
Choosing Vance prevented me from holding my nose and voting for him.
Peter Thiel's fuck toy does not belong within a light year of the presidency...much less an 80 year old heartbeat.
Polling isn't anywhere near as reliable as it was back in the day. Having said that, some of the exit polling coming out of various states show the small potential for a Kamala landslide taking shape.
They will contest the election whether it's a tie or a Reagan style landslide. The culture war demands it...and so does the grift.
I want the GOP to torch the MAGA grift machine to the ground post election and rebuild from the ground up.
Yeah, Biden dropping out was the worst thing that happened to Trump. If they lose, it’ll mostly be a referendum on how shitty Trump is as a candidate and their message. A lot of this has absolutely nothing to do with Harris, Democrats or even progressive issues . My personal opinion as a whole the probably moderate or slightly leans right when it comes to social issues.
They also need to find better people to deliver the message. I mean Vance and the
Haitians eating cats bullshit , how does that even pass the smell test?
They also have a problem attracting women voters at this point. Part of this is Trump. Part of this is the message that comes out( Again some of the Vance stuff didn’t help at all) and a part of this is the abortion issue. Whatever your feelings on it, it seems that the GOP is in opposition to what the general consensus is. I mean these initiatives either keep on passing (or fail) in these states (red or blue).
Yeah, they need to do a reckoning and just figure out a strategy that appeals to all regardless of gender or race. Alienating almost every non -white voting block isn’t a winning strategy. For whatever one thought of W, he did try to broaden the voter base and be inclusive . They seemed to have gone back to the stone ages with Trump.
Also not noted here but if he loses on the GOTV on Tuesday (basically the non early vote), he’s only got himself to blame. He installed some neophyte to run it while dismantling the state infrastructure that had been set up.
