What's the track record of Has It Leaked?
Usually very, very good.

Tonto. However, I do Hope they kept that outro riff that starts about 3 min in.

If it's a 3 way tie, I'll just declare Hardschool the winner.
Pretty disapointing the lack of discussion on some of these tracks tbh. Oklahoma like Elvis is a big deal.
I can't believe Oklahoma is receiving so many votes, especially with how well Elvis did.

A new Slash podcast with Marshall Amps. Slash says after these tour dates have finished (which they have now) he'll have a few days break, then work will begin on the next album which will take a few months, so more info that fits in with the timeframe
So for now, all we'll find are probably some engineer, or equip related blog entries or tweets.
Mixing is an unknown, mastering will probably be Ted Jensen at Stirling, the new tracks will be registered with ASCAP or SESAC at some point. All this might be early next year
It'll be interesting to see what the tour cycle is, there's quite alot of competition and bands touring next year
Aren't Smashing Pumpkins gearing up for a big tour?

The Blues on that disc is the best version of the track and one of the best tracks ever recorded by this band. In an alternative universe were the saga wasn't botched, that version of the track would be remembered and played on stations just like Sweet Child O'Mine as a classic.
Those of you that chose Atlas Shrugged over it were 100% wrong.
I have to disagree. I think it's good, no doubt. But I like the arrangement with the guitars coming in later, and for some reason I find Robins little lead fills a bit grating.

Just seen it.
I think it was cool. It was an old favourite of mine too.
I think it's better that what was suggested, but clearly once Slash gets lost around the solo everyone else looks a little confused or gets lost themselves.
Listening to it, it sounds like they all come in a bit early at different points.

Going with Thyme as well.
Over the unfinished abomination that is Nothing?
#19 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Best of Rough Mixes Disc 1, Elimination Series Round 8 » 296 weeks ago
We're doing rm4 or rm3 after this series to see if people listened to those tracks more than once or twice.
Elvis and Oklahoma, calling it now.

That Teen Spirit guitar riff in Quick Song is a real turn-off.
The Rebel has strong, Southern twang to it, though.
Agree. I like The Rebel way more than Quick Song.
Am I the only one that gets some Black Label Society/Pride and Glory vibes from The Rebel? Maybe a leftover riff from the supposed Zakk Wylde audition/jam?
