Oh, I wasn't blaming Ron, it just sucks ass.  I mean, he's a great guy and a testament to what can be accomplished through respecting and interacting with one's fans, it's just disappointing.

Maybe he CAN legally discuss it, but he'll catch shit for it if he does.  Or perhaps the other band members warned him in advance of that sort of thing.  (Monthly Tommy "it's coming..." statements... ah the memories.)

We can always post more of those irrelevant Ron Thal interviews he seems to enjoy giving. Seriously, let's just talk about how cool Robin being a gypsy is.

Seriously...is there anything more annoying that interviewing someone who won't answer questions about anything interesting?

gotta feel sorry for the guy...he loves communicating and interacting with the fans but his hands are tied when it comes to GnR...as he said before its not his place to discuss the album

Which, as much of a die hard GNR fan that I am, I must admit is VERY sad that the (co) LEAD GUITARIST of the band can't talk about the album.

I don't know about you guys, but I've been living in a fantasy world where Chinese Democracy was released two years ago and they're currently promoting the followup album.

A FAQ is a great idea!  A great way to get anyone new to the situation up to date in a speedy manner.

I was also thinking, how would GNRevolution feel about hosting a GNR Wiki?  We've been using DokuWiki over at my site and it's working out pretty well (just very slowly 'cause only two people are working on it in their spare time).  Of course here I'm sure you could a lot more people involved, as well as from other forums.  It's also pretty easy to customize as it is made of PHP code.

Just an idear.

Oh okay.  I too have to do the same thing.  smile

Well, on the bright side.  He'll have all the 5 year old honies lined up around the block to be with "the bad boy."

I agree with a lot of what you said but definitely not the part about the leaks.  I still listen to and love all of them.  That's why I'm so god damned frustrated with the situation!

Thanks guys.  smile

I guess I'm alone on the peel down thing in the corner, but that's cool.  My main problem was that it interfered with the awesome banner.  But at home I have a widescreen monitor so it doesn't bother me there.

I don't need a weekly "We love you guys!  Stay tuned..." from the official GNR website or anything.  But some amount of transparency would be nice.

Tell us what's going on with the album.  If you don't know when it will be released or why it's delayed again tell us.  If you can't tell us because of "legal reasons", tell us that.  Just communicate!

Of course I don't think they "owe" us anything, it's our decision to follow GN'R and buy the music (if it's ever released).  But this is just a basic PR standpoint to increase sales.  If you have a loyal fanbase that will guarantee you sales, treat them well to maximize profits.  ESPECIALLY since the only cost for positive PR with us would be the cost of the website, as it would only take a few words to keep us satisfied.

Yeah but does GN'R CARE about that exposure?  All I get from the camp is that they want us to leave them the hell alone.
