It's not just lyrical themes...it's Beltrami.

Me and My Elvis would make it 5 songs instead of 4.

Leave Me Alone is Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul.

Which is listed separately from The General.

It's fairly possible Leave Me Alone was originally Elvis (before Beltrami touched it). It was at least 2 years before he touched it from the rough mixes.

If Leave Me Alone was renamed Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul, it's entirely possible it was originally Me, and My Elvis.

I'd think the original version has a buckethead guitar solo or something in-between The General and Monsters, where the song restarts for the Monsters part like a Pink Floyd epic.

Just guessing.

Surreal that we actually heard this.

I think 9 mins plus on 1 7 inch vinyl side is probably where the issues arose, but if that's the case then it's entirely on whoever thought a 7 inch vinyl was a good idea.

Also why was this going to be buried on a Perhaps vinyl b side anyway?

The red flag was that it didn't leak weeks ago.

The fact that it didn't, suggests these mass printing didn't happen.

I'm 50/50 imo on it getting pulled from the Perhaps vinyl for a random live track instead.

Very unprofessional to wait several hours beforehand to announce, when the German/French releases were talked about a week ago.

I'm gonna say, this one is almost certainly a no at this point.

Even if there had been anything substantial mentioned in the past 2 months, it wouldn't be anyway.

The General pull ends this 1.

I hope we get the 04-06 version sometime after this (from someone who presumably has it), because once this drops - there's litterally only going to be 10s of hardcores on the forums/discord that care about the earlier version.

Also hopefully this is more Slash/Duff on Perhaps than Hard Skool/Absurd.

I don't think Bucket is on Elvis at all. It's just too short a turn around from when he joined and the mixing date (around the same as atlas/catch) make it fairly unlikely.

Also Finck is a pretty good guitarist, even though there still seems to be alot of denial here about it.

I'm sure a killer version with Bucket might exist, but it's not on the rough mixes.

They're different songs, it's a title change.

"Leave Me Alone," "Seven," and "The General" could also feature on the new album. These three A-listed songs were worked on by Marco Beltrami, especially "Seven," which Marco deems as the best of the three songs. It has also been reported that Marco worked on a fourth track, "Thyme." However, this song was not worked on subsequent to Marco's work in October 2002. (Jeff Leeds, Sp1at website, 06/05)

"[GNR] was sort of just work for hire. [...] I met with Axl and he played me these songs, asked me my ideas about them, and I told him what I thought they needed. A: Ides Of March, Oklahoma, Atlas Shrugged,  Oh My God, Silkworms , Down By The Ocean (Izzy), Leave Me Alone, Seven , The General , Thyme , Quick Song , Zodiac Most all titles subject to change w/out warning and r considered working titles. (Axl Rose, chinesedemocracy.com, Dec. 2008)

The bridge in "Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul aka The Soul Monster (working title Leave Me Alone)" which will no doubt end up "Soul Monster".

I think it's our most Black Sabbath moment. Sang it on a Christmas eve. Imo the meanest section of anything I've sung to date. Which having said that I'm sure when it's heard others may disagree but we felt it was a Christmas card of unadulterated venom so to speak. I felt a lot better afterward. (Axl Rose , Here Today... Gone to Hell Forum, Dec. 2008)

If this isn't floating online by the weekend, I'd start to get worried it was delayed or not happening.

I'm surprised it isn't already, someone is bound to have a copy this close to release.

Even modern video games frequently end up floating around within weeks of release.

Was there any updates about this from has it leaked or indication it's happening?
