Song written by Pete Scaturro and Carroll. Vocals recorded by Axl in the first "remake-sessions" in 2002/2003. Discarded at the 2004 major overhaul.

That could be an educated guess any of us could have made from listening to the song

@m.b4402 Yes. This song was about the french drummer and actor François-Alexandre Galepides alias Moustache, died in 1987. The chorus has samples from 'Two For The Road', a 70's film (Galepides played a role on it).

Brain and the band at the time loved sampling old movies in songs (from the 70's) they were working on & intros both in studio and live (The joint shows).. It seems like something somebody might claim if they wanted fans of that era to believe them.

Really cool instrumental from the village disc but your analysis seems spot on.

Funny how it leaked the same place as The General and Monsters did.
What a coincidence !

You're right about one thing: derailing the thread, but I'm not on badapplesforum and you're not on mygnr or a4d. Anyway, my apologies for that to the admins and rest of the folks on here. Over and out.

I'm right about more then one thing and have shown where I've credited you directly when you have been right in the past. Which probably what you wanted all along to control the narrative.

Now that you've handle this matter poorly you've decided to stop with the nonsense. Fair enough though you didn't respond to my reply to your post directed at me. I guess you didn't have response to my points i made in my post.

So you took it upon yourself to come here and derail a thread twice even though you own your a gnr forum and post mostly on mygnr Gotcha !

What have you ingored until now your hypocrisy ? Acting like a source of knowledge of matters like Children of the revolution when I was the first years ago to report via my source Axl, Slash and Duff recording it and you called me a troll and it didn't exist?

My public post just pointed out your error nothing else.

You did not state in your post you were referring the one were multiple emails address are shown did ya.

Again: Your image from Jen's tweet was shared earlier in that very mygnr thread (by user Sweersa) before I made my post.

How would I be referring to it as "not shared in public"? It was self-evident from the flow of the thread that I was referring to another, larger screenshot, not the one that was already there in plain sight.

I understand that it's part of your shtick to pick up on the smallest and most insignificant things looking for a "gotcha", but be more careful next time.

As for Children of the Revolution:

I made an educated guess as part of the process of critical thinking that you're obviously not familiar with.

When I come across any information or story, I'll look for verification (like an identified official source, a reference, a document, etc., or at least confirmation from a second unofficial source). When the information cannot be verified in this way, I'll make an educated guess based on logic. Of course, educated guesses may turn out to be wrong sometimes since they don't rely on evidence but on logic alone, and I know that when I make them.

In the case of Children of the Revolution, logic said that it probably was not true since the original rumour shared by Mitch Lafon was debunked, and even if there was indeed a recording, it was unlikely to be included in a GN'R release because it was not part of a GN'R project. Eventually my educated guess turned out to be wrong and I admitted it on mygnr.

Once again derailing a thread on a separate forum for a third time.
Now starting with insults such as saying i have shtick because i pointed out the obvious.

You claim your post posted was going with flow that it was self evident but you didn't quote the swearsa post nor the image of the tracklist he posted, instead like i previously stated you posted the commonly posted image the one without Fernando Santos in it. Look at your own words and description in your post. Clearly you fancy yourself some reporter yet the majority of what you do is copy and paste others work.
Since you claim to have the larger email with the rest of people's emails why didn't you post it to validate it's authenticity even more, That was the point you were trying to make wasn't it ?

You may have it, i don't know but it would've made more sense to post it wouldn't it if that's what you truly were referring too.

On Children Of The Revolution I was the first to report it well before Mich Lafon just like the 2026 world tour.
You never have said Brasky was right on either have you ? Edit i see where you linked to a mygnr post say the "insiders" were right. That's pretty condescending.

Btw @blackstar i will glady correct or update information that i say in any of my post. To my knowledge it was a 20 year deal. You obviously did the research and came up with evidence it's not.

I gave you credit on the UFO scoop that the song Axl was recording was Love to love.

If you want to discuss my track record which i stand behind please feel free to register a account here or pm me on Gnr Evolution.

I applaud you for your work."

You try insult me stating i have no critical thinking yet i actually have sources and break news.
When I'm wrong i admit it unlike yourself.

You claimed to have ingored things,  what things ? You stated in your prior post and that you should go back to ignore yet here you are.

Did you ever see this image yourself personally before 2019?

No i don't think i did.
I don't recall knowing Perhaps, Nothin', Monstrosity and 4 Heavens being song names before 2019.
I was away from the forums for a long time till the reunion.

Granted I've seen a lot shit since but until 2019 i don't believe i did see the cd2 tracklist image.

Brasky, I'm not participating or interested in any "credibility competition" with you. Not sure what your problem is. I have nothing to do with access to "insider information" or anything like that, and I have never played  this game.

Copy/ pasting articles and Chinese Whispers (A Masterpiece) does not give you credibility.

I obviously don't know that Tonto it is toothpuller but I  do wonder if the noise could be there as a shot or way of making fun of Izzy maybe.

The first time I heard about Toothpuller came from before the DATS had been discovered..

The following appeared in Metalsludge in 2006. There was no way of really backing the veracity of it until the DATS were discovered years later. If someone made up the Dizzy quotes then they would have had to guess that there was a song called Toothpuller (which is unlikely) Thanks to the DAT photos we can say that the song did exist, that it did have vocals & that at least Dizzy thought it was awful...

“Izzy used to be a great songwriter- his contributions to Guns N’ Roses first album are phenomenal. But, its almost like the guy has lost the fire… I mean I saw the guy a couple years back in the studio… and he was showing me a song he had just written called "Toothpuller" – it was literally about him visiting the dentist and getting a tooth pulled out. [Dizzy then sings some of the lyrics] I mean… this is a guy who wrote some badass songs and now he’s writing about getting his tooth pulled… I mean come on… can you imagine Axl singing that live?’(Dizzy https://metalsludge.tv/classic/?p=30945 )

“in April 1995, Duff calls again: “I’m trying to write new songs for the next GN’R record. Come lend me a hand.” It’d been five years since I’d left Guns, but I told myself, “Well shit, after all, why not?” Duff and I wrote ten songs in one week, and also made demos of them. And I thought, “It’s so easy.” When you work with someone like Duff, who loves music in the same way you do, everything becomes simple.” (French Izzy interview, 2001)

Some other comments on the time....

“He's been writing; he wrote some stuff with Duff. He wants to write songs, but he doesn't wanna deal with the whole thing. And it took me a while to finally get to the point where I couldn't handle it either, y'know? He wants to write material, but he's not really sure what he wants to do. He's so laid back. He doesn't want to deal with any pressure. Izzy does what he wants to do.” (Slash Metal Hammer November 1995)

“We recorded 10 songs in eight days. It got me excited about music again. I realized how easy the whole process could be. Those sessions were fun and painless. We just had a great time.”(Izzy Los Angeles Daily News, March 20, 1998)

“I'm using a Music Man Stingray. I started using it onstage. I've always liked these basses. Actually, when we were trying to do the Guns album I broke this bass out, and it just sounded amazing. It's bigger and fatter sounding. (Duff Hit  parader June 1999)

Dizzy quote is just stupid.
Saying Izzy used to be greag song writer but isn't now ? Coming from Mr Bongos that is hilarious.

Night Train is about shit malt iquor and was written by Izzy with Slash.
So a song about getting your tooth removed doesn't seem that crazy.

Also notice how Izzy worked on Velvet Revolver's first album Contraband but not on their second album Libertad which has a noticeable drop in quality ?

Izzy wasn't the best live but he's a helluva a song writer.

The fact Tooth Puller, Machine Gun and Down By The Ocean are Izzy and Duff songs is good for the fans and the band.

@troccoli any help my friend on what Machine Gun became hypothetically of course ?

I'm enjoying this conversation, it is insightful and i believe the community bouncing ideas and sharing information will lead to us discovering more about these tracks.

My opinion is that the vault is not empty and all future releases will come from the vault, songs that Slash or Duff worked on orginally are likely to be released.

A example of that is Hardschool.
Which i believe to be about Izzy.
It was the second release from the reunion era version of gnr.

@james where are you at brother ?

It's a shame we will probably never hear those DATs. There AMPEX 456's which are prone to sticky shed syndrome, so at least they will have been baked and backed up now they have been found. I'd be more interested in the ADAT's that both Sorum and Fink have spoken about separately, recording onto VHS tapes is a weird thing that happened in the 90's. Sorum mentioned in his book they had multiple machines linked together, I believe at The Complex.

I went and we played Guns songs and some cover songs and eventually I was bringing my ADAT tapes I was working on in my apartment.
There were so many. Some of them were picked for parts and some of them were recorded to the finish line and still exist somewhere. I don't know where.
Robin Fink https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/in … k%20appeal.

To my knowledge no ADATs ever made there way out into the wild, presumably all in Iron Mountain now.

Once again you're incredibly well researched on this subject.

I believe a lot of those dats became songs and at a point in time Guns N' Roses and Axl were incredibly productive.
