Has anyone heard of them reaching out to collectors for memorabilia to photograph? That might give us hints of the time period they are looking to cover.

Apparently the usual suspects have been contacted by the band for this thing.

From what we can gather Hard Skool and Absurd were meant to be released in 2020 but got pushed to 2021 because COVID delayed the tour. Those soundchecks of Hard Skool in Mexico in 2020 kind of confirm that.

The UYI boxset was supposed to be 2021 but according to Slash in that interview got pushed back too because of COVID delays. They soundchecked Pretty Tied Up in 2020 too.

I can't see why they can't do both this year. Oh My God was on the 2018 setlists... it must be a candidate.

Good that someone stuck with an uncomfortable line of questions in that interview and actually got some answers out of Slash. Sounds like we can expect what we got last year for a while - small digital releases of singles, followed up with niche physical releases for hardcore fans that ship months later due to manufacturing delays with a take orders and then go to print model. Eventually once they've done enough they give it to us as an album and if we're lucky there will still be some stuff left for that release.

Bit disappointing but I'll take it. Album in late 2022 at the absolute earliest, but depending on their pace they could run this through until 2024/25.

Wait a minute...

Wasn't this originally supposed to be a 4 song EP?!?

I think this is a separate release just for fan club members.

So we have the CD with four tracks. The 7" with two tracks... and then months after those have gone on sale, probably only selling to the most dedicated fans anyways they put this fan club exclusive version of the 7" with three tracks and some trinkets.

Why not offer this right from the start? The physical releases only started selling weeks after the digital single came out and still haven't shipped. Now there's another edition for sale after they've taken our money for orders. Won't touch this.

What if they sell it as two boxsets (an orange one and a blue one) each priced at a $1000 and released on the same day 16

It would be cool if they provided 3 shows. 91, 92, 93 to showcase the different phases of that tour.

Regardless of how many boosters we get, this all boils down to one simple thing...

You've got a pair of dice in your hand. You have to roll it on the virus or the vaccine. No free passes, mulligans, or do overs.

I briefly rolled the dice on the virus. Didn't want the vaccine and figured the chance of catching Covid much less dying from it was one in millions.

I soon realized my chances were worse than that and then taking into account the fact that I'm not a spring chicken anymore, decided to roll the dice on the vaccine.

This is what the conspiracy communities continually gloss over. The virus isn't fake...the vaccine isn't fake...the outlandish scenarios pushed on those sites are doing more harm than good and a small minority of their members have likely already died.

A handful of the people posted on Reddits Herman Cain Award obviously posted on conspiracy sites.

Do I get a booster on Wednesday or do I risk blood clots, amputations, strokes, and my lungs turning into concrete? How about a ventilator down my throat, catheter in my dick, and a tube up my ass?

I'll take the damn shot. It lowers the chances of that crap happening around 80-90%.

It's just not worth the risk.

This. Every medicine has listed potential side effects. It's all risk calculation.

In this case (and most cases to be honest) after weighing the risks, taking the medicine is the less risky option. This thing can mess anyone up no matter how healthy. Notable case here in Europe now, famous high level footballer at Bayern - Joshua Kimmich - refused to get vaccinated. He recently got Covid and is now rehabbing his lungs. This is a very healthy, in shape, high level professional athlete and he's been messed up bad by catching this thing.

Depends what their contracts said during the CD sessions. Maybe as part of that they gave Axl the option to assume all writing credits for their works if he chose to do so. Maybe they got bought out. The only ones who know won't say so we're all just speculating.

Either way, I still focus on the positive of this interview - they worked on "a lot", the leftover material is it's own "endeavour" and that more is clearly coming. When is the only remaining question.

“We’ve been doing a lot of material that’s been sort of sitting around for a while. So that will be a whole focused endeavour unto itself.”

I wasn't expecting them to have wrote any new stuff and wasn't really excited for them to do so. i want to hear what's left of CD II (and III?) and them reshopping it and releasing it was how it was going to happen. The fact that he says "a lot of material" and that this is will be a "focused endeavour unto itself" makes me excited and happy. It's confirmation that more has been done and more will be released.

You wondered about "The General" and "Soulmonster" for well over a decade? Well if any of that is still considered A-List by Duff, Slash and the main man himself then it might all finally be seeing the light of day.

Slash added: “They both have a lot of history. What happened was Axl has all these songs that he recorded at some point along the way.

“And so [McKagan] and I went in and re-did them, basically… Like, I wrote my own kind of parts to what else is going on, and [we] just sort of took the drums and re-did everything else.”

Again, confirmation that there is more than these two tracks and they've worked on more.

I'd prefer to hear these songs as they were in an earlier form, but them being released is the first step towards that happening. One day, maybe we get a boxset or their official release devalues them so much that they're traded more freely and eventually leak.

I say stop whining and just take the good news from this interview. More is finally coming.

I just got an email saying I’ve been refunded $12 for the vinyl purchase with no explanation. Anyone else get this or know why?

Edit: NM. Management has heavily discounted the costs of physical media on the site. Wonder why

Did you order like straight away when they went up? The vinyl went up at like $25 or $30 (can't remember which) and then an hour later was changed to $18, so probably got put on the store with an incorrect price.

I just looked on the site and the price is the same that I paid and I only bought 3 hours after the page went up.

Yea, I bought it within an hour of the Facebook link. I think it was $29.99 when I bought it and I see it’s now $17.99

Yeah, that's just them adjusting you down to the correct price after they put it up for an hour or two way too high.
