4 bottles of PBR and a bottle of vino tinto.

I trust the intelligence community to do the right thing.

To me it's like a sequel to Shadow of Your Love.
It's also another one of the Village sessions tracks that makes me wonder if its origins are from the 1994-97 sessions.
One other thing.....On the disc it says "Nu Axl" so this specific track had at least one previous vocal take.

everything about it is monstrous. I wish CD(the album) had its sound.
If any song ever needed him to bring his A game to the table, it's Oklahoma.
Who wrote all this stuff? I think Slash wrote the riff of Hardschool but then Oklahoma is much harder to say. To me it sounds like Bucket but is it Huge riff played by Finck.

James, I am not sure Axl dropped anything. Visions of 2 albums, etc
The question is was CD II ready to go on release of CD. And the rec comp did the Best Buy deal which was only for 1 cd
so they put all the leaked stuff from D1 on there and added the great stuff like ITW, Shackler’s, Sorry from D2. Throw in TIL and a newly finished track like Scraped.
Then CD II tracks were basically just sitting there for a 2010 release as Axl hinted at but then realized it wasn’t going to happen as CD didn’t go postal on release.
These tracks (CD II) must have had parts added by Ron and Frank and been digitally edited by Constanzo.

Hardschool is a classic GNR opener like RNDTH whereas Oklahoma is slightly slower like Dust N Bones or Bad Obsession. Both are kind of more mature and arty. Like there’s spacey melancholy parts in both.
I think if Oklahoma was finished it will be more of a grower, maybe like Better is to Chi dem.
Side 1
Hardschool
Berlin
Atlas Shrugged
Perhaps
State of Grace
Ides of March
Soul Monster

Really though Oklahoma will be more epic when finished. It has some of those Coma down off the shore moments. A solo and a stop start point.

I do prefer the production of Oklahoma. Hardschool sounds like Crash Diet 2. Great vocal from Axl on Hardschool, kind of enjoy Oklahoma sonically.

wasted wrote:Going Down would add some variety into some of these other tracks. I guess because Tommy left he won’t get it on the album unless Duff steps in.
Or Izzy as a guest spot. That'd be weird, but his voice would fit.
I could imagine that. I see Duff and Tommy back to back singing the chorus on one mic with Axl by the drum riser doing the background vocals.
That Izzy track Down By the Ocean might also add something too. Getting Bucket and Slash battling on a track would be awesome too. Duel guitars.

Must be a big Axl fan.

This whole Seven thing is another. At first I thought Seven must be about the movie, like Zodiac. Madagascar had a Seven quote from the movie so maybe Seven was a working title of some Beltrami work for Madagascar. Then these leaks come out and Seven isn’t there. Now someone is saying Devious B has a quote that refs Seven in a different way. So it’s not serial killer or movie related.
how to find out which song and working title is which? is to go on twitter and ask guys like dave Dominguez. youth glover. sean beaven. etc send them the songs and the names of the songs and they might answer the titles that you didn't know about
Maybe but they probably say no comment if they want to work in this town again.
Costanzo might have the intel we need. What I did learn throughout CD era was using my paranormal abilities to workout and predict what these tracks were in the end it’s never quite how it turns out. They are always one step ahead of the ether. There’s also always a hoarder that knows way more than you do. Someone somewhere knows and is it worth it to try too hard to work it out?
One more thing. It seems like when Axl adds vocals you get a new working title. So Soul Monster, Berlin, Seven, Ides of March all have new titles so they are more in the mix.
