Someone on Set List Fm is like predicting these songs pretty damn good. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/guns-n-r … 5adf5.html

I assume they're going by previous shows.

As they called Yesterdays while Civil War was playing and This I Love while New Rose (aka Duff Crap) was going on.

Either that or they've seen the setlist.

Anyhow, I am digging this.

I am confident they'll get some new tunes out after this leg is over with.

#202 Re: The Garden » US Politics Thread » 420 weeks ago

I'd just like to say.

I'm enjoying my road trip in the US.

No real difference from Obama era to Trump era. Obviously some Trump signage and what not.

But, I loved Kentucky (Lexington is so nice). Missouri has been a blast with BBQ. St Louis (only spent a day) wasn't a bad town, Busch Stadium is great.

Kansas City holy shit, I love that town. Such a neat place.

The World War 1 memorial is majestic. I wish my country could pay that good of a tribute to our WWI veterans. Cause boy oh boy is that museum something. As someone who had a relative die in that conflict it was such a breathtaking experience.

Kaufmann Stadium is pretty sweet too. Waterfall in it is nice and cooling if you're in the outfield like my girlfriend and I were.

The drive from Missouri to Illinois was long but, so far Chicago (staying in the DePaul University area) has been solid. Cool street festivals.

Lincoln Park Zoo solid place too. And free. Like where I am from that shit would cost money our Toronto Zoo workers might be on strike still, and the Toronto Zoo is way shittier.

Now I might have a bias in all of this cause due to my Irish American Great Grandparents I have a solid fondness for America (wish I had the dual citizenship).

You guys might not have the solid health care, and some things aren't the best. But, man do you know how to honor your previous wars, know how to drive (moving over if you're going too slow in the left lane to the right, never happens in Ontario).

Also, as a non-pork eater. I get to have the bloody steak and egg biscuit at Mcdonalds or the mcmuffin version. Kentucky had a buttermilk chicken one and that was so good.

Anyhow, shit in the world especially in London sucks.

Makes you wary when you go to any city American, Canadian et cetera. So my guard is up on that.

I don't even know what this post is about.

As someone who wanted Hilldawg as President, Trump's America isn't bad. It's the people that make America Great. Regardless of their political background.

I remember a cool couple in Kansas City (as we were seeing Tom Petty), bought us beers as it is legal to drink in a vehicle if you're the passenger. They were telling us about where they were from and, I don't know their background politics wise. But, I don't think Trump is a monster or reprehensible. They kind of played up the Trump bashing. Maybe cause they thought we were really liberal. Was kind of weird, like it is cool you can like whoever ya know?

Regardless of your stance on the Donald, America in my eyes is still awesome as it was last year and the year before. You have a way different President and how they operate compared to Democrats and Republicans of the past, but it is the people. That make this place special.

Also, U.S. border agent at Fort Erie solid dude. Reminded me to sign my passport, and wasn't a dick or suggested due to the long hair that I might be a do the reefing (thanks Detroit ha). For the record I don't.

Anyhow, America!

I mean the thing that I love about America (Great Grandparents were Irish American) even though I am Canadian is, that for the most part the US assimilates really well. Unlike Europe and some parts of Canada.

Huge Muslim population in Dearborn, yet no huge issue(s).

But, I mean if Irish people were blowing themselves up still in the name of Catholicism, of course you'd see the extra scrutiny. And what not. But, I think the Troubles are a false comparison to this shit we are experiencing today with radical Islam.

I am a huge Bill Maher fan, when he criticizes some dumb fucking liberals about this. As a cafeteria / lapsed Catholic I am not offended by his religious hatred. But for the most part he raises good issues about religion and Islam.

Like when people scream racism. Guess what? Muslim isn't a race. Multiple races of people can be Muslim.

I am of the left leaning nature with some conservative tendencies / I get conservatives in some ways, the old kind. Like I am not a bleeding heart dove, who takes offence to a lot of shit.

Love Richard Nixon, great President minus Watergate. I mean the EPA and Planned Parenthood are solid domestic things he did.

I think the greatest leader that America was unfortunate to never have as President was Douglas MacArthur, man that guy was way ahead of his time and right about so many things. I highly recommend: Douglas MacArthur American Warrior by Arthur Herman. Such a great read.

#204 Re: The Garden » Terrorist Attack at Ariana Grande concert » 422 weeks ago

I remember Richard Fortus mentioning how Guns N' Roses are a high target for terrorists too. It was in some Not In This Lifetime 1st leg of the tour interview.

Hard to defend against.

I remember a while ago writing a blog asking Toronto's Transit Commission on Twitter if their new subway trains were tested for potential terrorist suicide attacks. And I got so many looks on that blog. As these trains have an open concept design without doors separating the trains.

Security going in is nice, but doesn't help people lined up to get in or people leaving.

This attack disgusts me.

#205 Re: The Garden » Chris Cornell dead » 423 weeks ago

I saw this early in the morning and I was like what the hell? This can't be serious.

I assumed it was like a cocaine or heroin thing.

Real tragic about a suicide and the fact he had been battling depression.

I remember trying to see Audioslave when their "Out of Exile" album came out. My pal and I went downtown Toronto. We were a little late, but the scalpers were still selling their tickets way too high. I never got really into the whole Soundgarden band or grunge outside of Nirvana.

As of late I was really feeling Pearl Jam. Maybe the Letterman love factor is a reason. Or my love of Better Man. Anyhow, I was hoping to get into Soundgarden and to see what the band was all about. I mean I still can, but, never get that live experience.

One thing I admired about Chris Cornell, on top of his talent. Is the fact he is a club I am in. He uses his mother's maiden name. Not too many people would have the balls to do that. But, I mean if your bio dad is a bastard, why not? So I always have name dropped him when it comes to members in that club like Eddie Vedder, Bernard Sumner, Eric Clapton, and I have forgotten a few more who are in it.

Anyhow, sad day.

Well who knew Axl was a fan of Billy Joel?

I guess the whole liking Elton John shindig would lead you to his music.

Anyhow, kind of cool seeing him perform: "Highway to Hell," and "Big Shot."

#207 Re: Guns N' Roses » Slash back in the studio » 426 weeks ago

Just release new music with Slash and Duff, Axl.

It's that simple.

You're the hard rock version of Brian Wilson. You've got the goods and talent.

Just do it bro.

Give us an angry political song about your disdain for the current environment you find your great country in.

Add in some vault material too.

Do it.

Make sure it flows, but, don't overthink it or overdub it.

AXL/DC is nice, but, lets hear some new Guns N' Roses music before jumping on the Angus train.

#208 Re: The Garden » US Politics Thread » 436 weeks ago

I think you can't piss off the CIA, like Trump has done and get away with it.

They're going to get him(leak damaging information or acquire such info) when the time comes or some rogue employee will leak stuff.

Those tax returns will be damaging for sure.

And yes the people who didn't vote because they bought the polls are to blame.

I don't think Hillary was that bad of a candidate.

Had she won she would have ran for re-election in 2020.

I thought she needed a better VP pick.

More than qualified to be President.

In fact she should pull a Richard Nixon (He lost in 1960 and later won in 1968, obviously it would be the next election).

No one that I know of has run for President after losing the popular vote.

If Hillary runs she needs a good inspiring VP pick like Gavin Newsom or Cory Booker.

Anyhow, the hysteria around Trump is pretty crazy. A lot of things with him I don't agree with. But, give him more than a month ya know?

#209 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Tommy in RS » 438 weeks ago

This was a phenomenal read.

I am really hoping that Paul and Tommy can make it work. It would be so dope to have a Mats new album.

Especially if Josh Freese was involved in it.

I think his point was that he undervalued the other band members...

I don`t know about that he seemed to value Slash and Izzy highly Duff to lesser extent as well.

I won`t hold against him if he did n`t value Steven. I would have killed him if I had been Axl, after overdosing Erin Everly with speedball.

I actually for some reason didn't know about the speedball thing...but uh...when you're around Gn'R you should be wary of drug intake...

Yeah let's not be fucking victim blaming here.

Erin was married to Axl, and the fucking dick bag almost got her killed. Like you think he would be looking out for his "bro's" lady instead of her almost dying.

So fucking please.

If Axl Rose did what Steven Adler did to his wife or another band member's wife, I wouldn't have respect for him in the least.

I'd say most drummers are replaceable. Unless you're John Bonham or Dennis Wilson (heart of the Beach Boys, songwriting skills) or Keith Moon or David Grohl or Matt Cameron you're replaceable.

The only drummers that I would be jacked to see ever replace Frank if it had to be would Josh Freese (has a shit ton of shit always going on so unlikely) or Brain.

Steven Adler and Matt Sorum are both respectfully cunts. Each in their own special way. So there is no way in hell they're ever being full-time drummers in Guns and thank fucking god.
