Are there no openers on this tour?

Seems like that’s the case. And it seems like they’re starting between 7 and 8. Has that been pretty consistent? Need to know when to aim to get to the arena on Monday.

Anything can happen. But Brady's 40. When have they given up 42 points?

Most points given up in the Belichick era I believe. I'm far less concerned with Brady than I am with the defense. The offense did put up 27 points through 3 quarters. Once Amendola went out though they stalled. They need to get the running backs more involved in the short passing game that Brady loves. Without Edelman as his security blanket there's obviously going to be a transition period. But I think the fact that Brady is 40 had nothing to do with what we saw last night.

On the defense, I don't think they're as bad as they showed last night but there are some definite weaknesses there and it's going to take the awhile to work out the kinks. If they look like this in a few months I'll start to worry, but I'm not there yet.

I know it kind sucks making predictions after a game has been played (KC looked good BTW. Pretty funny about the RB who never fumbled in college, fumbled his first snap, then went on to have a monster game). But anyone got any SB Preddictions?

I'm going with Pittsburgh over Atlanta.  Yep.

Not a good game for my Patriots obviously. Defense needs a lot of work and the offense certainly missed Edelman last night. On the bright side I have Kareem Hunt on two fantasy teams so they're off to a good start. Unfortunately I have the New England D on another so I'll be hitting the waiver wire next week. I have Vinatieri on a few teams and I'm worried the Colts offense could be so bad without Luck they might not even get into FG range often.

As for a SB prediction, I'd like to say New England over Green Bay. One game doesn't necessarily change my mind but Oakland would be my backup pick in the AFC.

I think teams like KC or Oakland stand a better chance of topping the Pats. Brady's track record against Pittsburgh in big games (or generally ever, except a road game in 2012 and 2004 from what I remember).

They have a good team, but Ben is already talking retirement and can't stay on the field. Guy has taken a beating over the years.

Yeah, Pitt's D is supposedly vastly improved but they haven't fared well against the Pats in recent years so I don't really see why this year would be any different.

I totally forgot about this even though Faldor sent a reminder.

I'm still in it?

Yeah, yahoo automatically signs up every team from the previous season once the league is renewed. So you have a team fully drafted if you'd like. If not, Mitch has offered to take the reigns. Let me know either way.

I will gladly join if you end up going that route.

Redarmy76 is back in so we're down to James. If he wants out I could try to assign his team over to you. Up to him.

Congrats have fun at the game.  They should beat KC since KC lost their top RB and NE's db/lb should be able to cover Travis Kelce.  I haven't watched much preseason at all, but how have NE S/T looked?  KC could have an advantage there.  KC defense is tough though and could be a low scoring game.

NE special teams have been lacking so they made a few trades to shore up that unit over the weekend. They also lost their top two punt returners in Edelman and Cyrus Jones. They don't really have a clear option right now to return punts. They just traded for Dorsett who's a burner but has muffed the only two punts he's attempted to return in his short career. KC should have a clear advantage on special teams and the defenses could be evenly matched but I think NE has the much better offense. I'd be more worried if the game was in KC. Anything can happen obviously, but I expect a win.

What can be expected of Rishard Matthews this year? Will he still be the go to guy for Mariota? I have him in a few leagues and I'm reading some ominous things. How about Henry? Depend on Murray's health?

This poll is open to everyone? Lol

Yeah, not that it matters though. I already set the schedule so each team plays each other once. My team is projected to finish 14th. I don't often agree with those projections but my team could be that bad. Going to have to make my waiver claims count.

I still haven't heard back from James Lofton or redarmy76. I'm not sure when the last time redarmy76 has been active but i know James is around. Are you back in this year or should I reassign your team to Randall or Mitch? I could do the same if I don't hear back from red by Thursday. Actually Wednesday, I'll be busy getting ready to go to opening night in Foxboro on Thursday. Go Pats!

I say play each team once. Some team names I'm not sure I even know who the poster is (from what I recall).  Also evens it out I'd guess, and keeps it simple. Just mho.

Thanks tho for putting this together.

Not a problem. That's the way I'm leaning too I think. I could give a rundown on who's who if that'd help.
