I was just wondering if anyone went to the guitar clinic thing in November with Fortus. Someone asked him if there was any new gnr material on the way, he said 'maybe' coyly, then the video gets edited. I was just wondering if anyone knows what was said in the edited bit.

It's an odd show, as is the Costa Rica one.

But Slash seems to be on the ball with these dates, so hopefully that's a good thing.

Looks like they are playing in Florida end of Jan according to Slash’s fb.

My thought would be they will give us some best of release with a few new songs first to help support another tour.

Their has been rumors that claim to be from an inside source saying that GNR will release an EP in March of 2020 followed by a full album.

Slash sort of dismissed the EP idea;

Trunk: “Would you like to do a full Guns N’ Roses album?” (as opposed to a single or EP)
Slash: “Everybody wants to have a full album released. I don’t think that’s really changed all that much. There’s a different way of putting stuff out initially nowadays more so than … you sort of look at that preliminary release a little differently now. At the end of the day, we will ultimately release a full album.”

I am more worried about Slash and Duff starting another round of solo projects. You know the kind Tommy and Robin and Richard and Dizzy and Bumble and Buckethead and DJ all did while the money machine sat in the warehouse waiting for the next harvest. Yep, just another day in the world of Guns N Roses post Use Your Illusion. axl92

I don't keep up with side projects, but Slash's management said they are expecting an album and tour cycle with GN'R next year, then he'll return to his solo material. Alter Bridge have just released a new album, and will be spending next year doing live dates, so that keeps Myles busy

Duff has a live date in January, but it is in Hollywood, and it is an all star event of some kind,  and not a solo date.

I also am aware of one other possible live GN'R Summer date, but I am trying to find something online to back that up

They have feedback as buyers, not as sellers.

Although they may be legit, I would avoid unless collecting in person.

i'm sure he is a nice dude but almost everything he has said has either been false or just straight up lies i'm not saying it's his fault maybe that's what management want him to say but it does get annoying when he confirms a new album or denies a song that exists saying that it doesn't exist and for us fans it does get frustrating we just want a straight up answer that's all

If it helps, he says in the same interview that Axl is secretive, which is where you are maybe coming from.

I think with regard to the release of albums, it would be easy to disregard what Fortus says because the process of releasing albums has been frustrated a lot of times by the record company

They just made $500 million touring the past 3 years. They don’t need a record company. Metallica doesn’t. Either they want to record new music, or they don’t. They don’t need anyone’s permission or help. They can afford studio time. They can hire a producer. They don’t need to release physical media.

This “hopelessly devoted to you” nonsense many fans have needs to stop. I recently re-read Chinese Whispers, and if there’s one message to take away, it’s that no one, not even “insiders” has a clue what the future holds.

Exactly

The purpose of the thread is to follow what the band say and what is written. The past is the past and we are now in a different era
