Anybody remember the Best Buy promo vids? On 2 or 3 of them there was reference to 'History being made', which could allude, I suppose, to a 3 album release.

I wonder if a 3 disc release was at some point part of the plan?

I still think there's more to this, and I really think it's not just wishful thinking on my behalf.

Something somewhere IMO has stopped further leaks happening and I truly believe we were at the closest point of getting brand new demos in the last few days.

Why you ask? I pm'd this ARC guy many times and he replied with responses which just felt truthful to me. He referred, for instance, to there being two groups of hoarders.

One group, supposedly has all of the 99 album sessions, plus unheard demos left off the final album, along with all of the rockband moggs and possibly 45 minutes of the VMAS rehearsals.

The other group has considerably less, consisting in the main of 3 unheard tracks together with a few of the 99 sessions. Our man ARC belongs to this latter group, and was allegeldy sent the tracks on a CD-R in the mail from a pal.

Most importantly the group with most material does not have these 3 tracks, and are, as ARC stated, keen to complete the puzzle. He pointed out to me that a trade has been attempted on a few occasions but so far failed. Hence there is a bit of a stalemate between the two.

So IMO there are 3 possibilities here:

1) This is all complete BS on ARC's behalf in an attempt to procure new tracks
2) ARC was contacted by gnr management/legal and been persuaded not to release what he has
3) Perhaps our man got what he wanted. Sounds far fetched but maybe he got lucky, arranged a trade and is now shutting up shop.

Who knows. maybe it is all BS.

At least it has provoked a bit of interest and thought amongst the better gnr forums!

Ok so I've c & p'd ARC's 'admission' from ARC that he was bluffing to get more songs...

im really sorry im posting this on the news section, but that way people will get to it faster.

I just wanna announce that i failed to deliver on the 31st...i dont have any material! i lied to get to the people who had and try to get their stuff.

Im sorry if i disappoint you, but believe me did all i could to get me and u some new music... im really sorry i didnt deliver.

And even though i lost a couple of days with this and instead i could be on vacation with my family... i suggest people to not try the same thing.

The band is great and my seek to get new music is only just for that... to listen to new music, but i decided to stop my search since i was going nowhere with this stuff. Hopefuly someday we'll hear new music from Axl and the band.

I repeat... i dont have any material in any shape or form and i can prove it. Any leaks that happen in the future have nothing to do with me.

Im officially saying goodbye to all of you, im just tired of all this. I need a break if not a definitive break.

Hope u all get to see new music, and i hope this band continues to inspire the millions of fans who follow it.

Call me paranoid but I'm sure there's more to it then this. Phrozen commented in the thread over there that he's heard snippets of tracks from ARC and he thought it legit. So either Phrozen couldn't tell a fake (unlikely!) or he was in on the bluff (possible?).

There is also the possibility I suppose that this guy has been contacted by gnr legal and forced to shut down his activities and announce that he has in fact jack shit to quell the furore.

Who knows, I pm'd this guy many times and I never once got the impression he was BS'ing from his responses. Good liar, or has this guy been threatened with skwerl-type consequences?
