Can't believe Portishead went down in the 1st round. You guys really need to check out that album.

This is round 2.

Please mention whether the album you're voting off is something you've actually heard or not. Most of the nominees should be familiar to our members.

Voting ends in 5 days. If there is a tie, metacritic score will be used.

Below is a sample of a famous (not necessarily best) track from each album.

Audioslave

Higher Truth

Chinese Democracy

American Idiot

Hybrid Theory

Hardwired to Self Destruct

Songs for the Deaf

Kid A

Elephant

Well Evo you have disappointed me.

Third by Portishead is eliminated.

Here's another track from the band Portishead to end the thread.

Was looking at The Guardian's list of top 100 albums so far this century. Only Kid A, Third and Elephant were on it. All 3 which I assume won't last long on this forum.

As for this list, 2 things to keep in mind 1: Not many people actually nominated, 2: these are the only ones that got enough nominations.

While certain nominations got vouched for multiple times, people picked different albums for said artists.

You should check it out.

It was one of the favourite albums of the critics that year.

Songs for the Deaf.

I remember liking it at the time, but I've never felt the need to go back to it or any of its tracks.

So these are the nominees with the most nominations as chosen by Evo. If you haven't heard any of these albums before, it may be worth checking them out.

That's it.

We have 10 first choice nominees with multiple nominations. We'll see how it pans out. It'll start tomorrow night.

No more nominations will be accepted.

Wow. I wonder if this a polling anomaly.

A lead that big amongst the older folk would pretty much gurantee a landslide in the UK for a non right wing party.

These people exist all over the west. What has happened in the past few years is that everything has been amplified 10 fold and when you have people like Trump in charge during something like this, a disaster will always ensue.

I got a taxi a few days ago. The driver basically unprompted ranted the whole way about how covid is a hoax to create a cashless society and he doesn't think people should have to wear masks.

"if I wear infected you would have to lick a corner that I had just licked. It's not airborn, that's the only way you could catch it from me".

Obviously I was wearing a mask.

Just imagine what would happen if instead of a pandemic, there was a war. Not a middle eastern adventure like Iraq, but a early 20th century style war. How would it turn out with people Trump and BoJo?
