Watching “Smile” and my suspension of disbelief can only go so far…
Yeah that was a HUGE disappointment.
It starts out with a bang. It feels like you're in for a real treat. I love the scene at the birthday party when the present is being opened. Creepy with loads of tension. It needed more of that. Instead it went down the tubes shortly after.

Not bad at all. Actually it's probably the best of the three songs.
They should probably redo the other two songs. It would be an improvement.

IIRC it wasn't just creative tension, Harrison recognised that the audio quality of the source material just wasn't up to snuff.
We had heard this one before and all three were terrible quality. If he had an issue with one, why not the others?
They probably shouldn't have released any of them at the time. The tech just wasn't there yet.
They needed something to sell Anthology so went ahead with it.

I think there was briefly some talks of an Anthology type project when Lennon was still alive that would probably happen in the early 80s. It's tragic how it all played out. A reunion was likely in the cards.
I wonder if Macca's going to get Peter Jackson to use the same whizzy AI tech he used to extract Lennon's vocal for "Now and Then" and apply it to "Free As a Bird" and "Real Love." The shitty tape quality of Lennon's vocals on those always rankled, though I suppose you could argue that it gave him an appropriately ghostly quality.
Yes. It's practically a guarantee.
A rerelease of the Anthology series is speculated by fans to be one of their next big projects and redoing the two tracks would be a huge selling point...as well as any unseen footage.

That's almost as bad as Bobby Blotzer giving platinum albums to his entire scab RATT lineup a few years ago.
Megadeth recently did something similar with their current lineup for one of their classic albums. Did the whole photo opp thing with the current band.

Surely these are all replicas of some sort. I can't imagine these guys being issued real platinum album awards.

If Twitter were a bellwether for votes Hillary would be on her second term. I’d go easy on using that as a basis for what a nation thinks.
I don't think I ever said the entire nation supported it.
Tons of people and various groups have their own Twitter pages. They post how they feel on various issues and aren't trying to hide it.
The shit they are saying on TikTok and Instagram is much worse but I don't use those platforms.
This reminds me of feminists being banned on Reddit for "hate speech" when all they were doing is posting links to Twitter pages proving what those people were saying.
It was ok for the extremists to say whatever they want...but a bannable offense to have a problem with what they were saying.

Qanon is a liberal thing, really. They want them to be relevant so badly. Even republicans goof on them. They’re such a small minority of tinfoil hats who have always existed (used to be black helicopters).
