Slash seems to be saying he’s up for doing Axl’s material so it seems possible.

But who knows, Shadow and Crash Diet got passed over at some point.

Hardschool seems right up Slash’s street though. Maybe Finck was laying down Slash style parts. It must be easy for musicians to just play some GNR music then just improvise on it and get something in the same vein.

Slight off topic since it's not on this disc, but I feel the same way about Quick Song. Felt fairly Slash-esque to me aside from the stuff in a 5/4 time signature (the intro/bridge/outro parts, basically).

Very cyclical riffing too. Some of the band members hinted they knew they were in GNR. Soloing as Axl rants is very GNR too.

True it’s a cycle riff. The nu band guys like Brain and Finck did hint they were aware of what GNR was meant to be. So they got in character and listened to AFD and threw down some ideas. To me Chi dem verse guitar is very Slash. It’s basically a remake of Jungle verses, mixed with Easy low talking.

If you go conspiracy, then maybe Axl had Slash riffs on tape even tracks. Around 00 Rock in Rio he offered Slash 3 songs on CD. Could these hard rock songs have been allocated to Slash? Find out soon on that click bait site that steals all my posts.

Prosecuted for quid pro quo? That’s what prezs do, deals. It’s just if it is solely for personal reasons. If it’s corruption of Biden then surely it’s in the interest of the people? Trump is investigating the roots of collusion investigation. Why can’t that happen? Because it leads straight back to Clinton and Obama.

The idea that Trumo wants to take out Biden is hilarious. Biden doesn’t know what state he in most days and refuses to stop sniffing kids. He’s not a threat.

The statist dems knows impeachment is their only chance. Trump is strapping on a suicide vest to take them with him.

This is like season 7 of the Trump Show. Trump has stopped going to therapy and he sees danger everywhere. The audience have realized he’s just another gangster.

20 years. Damn what happened?

So a lot of this stuff is really the Beavan record.

But there’s obvious Bucket additions and stand alone instrumental tracks like Elvis.

Fortus was talking about still working on a Slash riff. Hardschool is a suspect.

hardschool and Oklahoma are gems SOG is a NIN rip off so it has to go

I hear the NIN but there’s also element of late 90s Bowie but what a vocal performance from Axl, really moving through the gears. Hardschool is more of an old school GNR song, early Aerosmith.
Oklahoma is more the AC/DC thing or even Nirvana. Verse Chorus Verse Chorus. Both sound very old Guns in that are hard rock with a punk tinge.

Who is on Guitar here? If I close my eyes it’s Slash. They are very Slash parts, is that Bucket? Finck must be on SOG.

It’s tough. Everyone time I hear Hardschool it gets more awesome. How it hasn’t been released is criminal. I assume there is a plan. Having these kind of tracks in your pocket must be relaxing.

Although both Hardschool and Oklahoma are in a way what the fan base need, I find it hard to vote off SOG because it’s more interesting to me.

I hope the new album leaks before it comes out so if we can really confirm if hardschool will be on there?

I read Bucket re-recorded Oklahoma at some point?

So those or these are Finck mostly on guitar?

Wasn’t there a theory that Hardschool was also Jackie Chan recorded for a movie by Slash/Duff?

Getting impeached is an easy way out for Trump. In someways it’s like he’s being trying to get thrown out since the beginning. He has zero filter, I’d like him to continue his rallies though. Even if he’s not running. Trump should keep touring internationally.

Blair did not bankrupt the country. The global recession happened while Brown was pm and it was hardly his sole fault.

National debt doubled under the Torries. Austerity failed.

Semantics. I speak very generally about these things. I would say that it’s bankrupt in terms of the person on the street’s understanding. I’m no political expert but I’m interested to see how my understanding fits into things.

That’s the irony, austerity was a way to borrow more. That’s all that we can do. It’s delaying the inevitable or something that never happens. Like the US will never pay back what they owe. UK should ignore the debt. Wipe it, not have the people pay for it. It’s all about cooking the books so the world doesn’t descend into chaos.

But we find ways (borrowing) to service the debt. So it becomes almost an abstract thing. Countries like Greece, Italy and Spain have all teetered on the edge. The deal for UK was always immigration for almost unlimited borrowing. If we leave the EU there’s less easy borrowing but maybe there’s other ways. Broader international deals. It’s a risk. For the rich there is no real risk it’s all a power game.

But this is the impression I got from the 90s in the UK. Everything was going well, there were benefits flying everywhere. The credit ran out, it seemed. And the solution was for the people to pay for it, austerity. The fall out played out under Brown and then Cameron came in to convince everyone it was time to shape up. But as I remember he borrowed a ton as part of the austerity deal.

Cutting benefits I think gave people a reason to look for a scapegoat, immigration and EU were blamed by a certain group and they wouldn't Vote Cameron unless he offered them a referendum first.

The final point is that although we say we run ourselves. That’s our big thing, through democracy and rights the people have their way. There’s a sort of intimacy between constituencies and the people. We are repped by the MPs. But what seems to happen is that it’s more of a power grab by the rich elites, even on labour’s side, the money is really funneled away from the people and the economy. Candidates like Boris or Blair have a charm that seems to make it look well meaning but really it’s about agreeing to be taxed and that money fuels the rich. It’s never benefiting people. If it was we wouldn't be in debt. Everyone is working, where does all the money go?

Boris or Trump are seen as these idiots but they work as distractions from what is happening. They soften the blow of the stick. You’re asked to be a big man nd take huge risks with low interest rate borrowing to set up businesses, pay for your own health care, education etc.

Corbyn or Blair will seem like they care about people. And for me they work better for the people, until the bill comes up. As in if this is a fake game, why not take some hand outs, because the economy of the country is not taking off in any miraculous way.

I think if we hadn’t heard IRS it might win but Hardschool is very old GNR sounding. Oklahoma could be great. State has all the dynamics and fire to be great. Would be great live like IRS was.

I was thinking what if these discs just stayed the same for the releases. D2 would have had ITW and Sorry, D3 would have Hardschool, Oklahoma, IRS and  D4 has D Tune, Elvis and Maximus. It could have been a lavish set of releases.

Also I feel like I’ve heard Tonto or Moustache as a Fortus solo spot?

How does Fortus fit into these recordings?
