It seems to me the lyrics were mainly written by Pitman.
I've listened to Lusk and Sextapes quite a bit and it seems like his style. I don't see Dizzy writing those lyrics, either.
I thought the bridge was "Just another love... slipped away".
Because, again, it's not about Silkworms. It's about... well... you know.

yeah but if he can play sorry and prostitute in the current era he can play anything surely.

But I think the entire album is about the old band and none of it is.
And that Sorry and Prostitute are about manipulators and fame more than anything else.

It definitely doesn't sound like "broken heart" or "demons" in this version.
Then again, Axl didn't enunciate "world" on If The World very clearly, either and we all remember the Prostitute debacle.

It's kind of like the riff in TWAT.
It used to be just an accent but then it became so obvious and dumb, it distracted from the flow of the song.
