^Reading comprehension. Try some.

The bad:
A professional manager was fired.
Beta and family know more about running Guns N' Roses than I do, but... mixing business with family is "one of those things you don't do" the old saying is - can they leverage the label? LiveNation?
Label stuff still isn't sorted out (like I've been posting for months, THIS is what keeps us from new music).

Good:
The plan is "We'll be putting out new stuff as soon as we can figure out what our deal is with labels, blah blah blah."
He's been fighting to be creative
He's enthusiastic about the band
Beta and family stood up to him (told him what he didn't want to hear?)

Also:
Please, please, can we stop fanwanking about a reunion performance, minitour, or marionette show at HOF? Please? NotGonnaHappen.Com

Is there a rule that they HAVE to perform?

Get out of your box, people. Path of least resistance is the path. 'Thank you'. Bow. Next person.

The people who really have it worse are the professional wrestlers who used to make trips like that weekly, in a van. In the winter. I think they used to call it the hell tour or something. Anyway. smile

Don't know if you guys caught him with Guns on the other tours, but when I heard him in 2006, I was surprised how 'heavy' he sounded. The Skidrow material was less hair and more metal. So it sounded fresh. I actually really enjoyed his set.

That said, I wish Loaded was opening in Vegas! smile
And I could go without Adelita's Way again....saw em' already.

Yes, yes indeed - it would be (to me, non expert) suicide to tour Europe or America again without a single or something new. They got some momentum but I don't think that can be kept up without any new product. Here's hoping Mr. Manager has been busy and Axl is feeling like "the good parts" on Scraped. They can do some good stuff if they get record company support/record company getting out of the way.

Release alternate versions or mixes on iTunes/Amazon/Website, 3 months after that put them in a bonus disc version of Chinese Democracy w/ 1 cutting room floor song and 1 'A' song they can do as a single.  3 months after that Chinese II: Electric Boogaloo.

Jams/Covers/Solos... while it might not be the thing you nessesarily flip to if you're listening to a recording, or watching a video, they are - in my opinion - really fun live. A guitar solo live that you can feel because of the amp actually moving air around you, and seeing the guy feel the music as he does it, is just a totally different experience.

Even Adelita's Way (?) - I enjoyed their guitarists doing their thing, even though the singer had to ruin it with his singing/lyrics.

Nothing beats good guitar and jams. They're like a love language.
Edit: And I'm the least likely guy to ever buy a guitarists solo album... live is a completely different thing, that's what makes a rockshow a rockshow and not a recital.

^I agree. The narrative if there was no Chinese Democracy would still be pretty much what magazines wrote about in 99. "He just... disappeared."
Chinese Democracy is completely unnecessary as far as HOF or public awareness.
