only thing that sucks in these songs is the guitar solos. They are absolutely attrocious. Song Number 2 could be bigger and better than NR and Estranged if it had the right guitar fills/solos but the solo after the last chorus is awful and there are no fills worth mentioning.
I would love to see how awesome that song would be with Slash playing guitar on it.
i was wondering if you were joking when i first read this...but then reading the other replies, i figure you weren't....
guitar work in these is the only thing which saves them from being completely mediocre imo....and the best part of the lot is that you can only hear about a third of the guitars in there....can you just imagine what the properly mixed versions will sound like?
off topic....but TWAT ending solo owns everything Slash had done on both NR and Estranged....put together....

it is a mess....that's why i think he should send it all out in one go.....if he does it in stages...and the first one gets any negative feedback...(and we all know how gnr camp deals with that).....the others will get delayed by another quarter of a century....
send it all out in one go....and let it be....fuck the concept behind it....just burn 3-4 discs and that's it....

the only way i see himself saving his anything....is to release all 50-60 hours of it....load it up on as many discs as it would fit onto....and send it out onto the market like that....
he will outnumber any major release at the time, and simply in terms of basic math, he should sell decent numbers.....then he can start from scratch, or even do a reunion....
but its time to get rid of this now....good or bad....just chuck it out and let it do what it can....

They can decide the next step later.
reunite with the old guys, and then release this behemoth as an Axl Rose solo record....or first release it as a solo, then reunite.....that should wipe the slate....

he's definitely on those songs....that much is obvious....even on the first listen....the questions is whether or not he trades some solo space with someone else, or is he doing all the work...?

personally, i think these leaks are too old for BBF to be on them....hence his comment of them being "old"...i wouldn't be surprised if the whole rhythm of these songs consisted of BH, Robin and Huge....way before the current line up solidified....so chances are pretty good that we have Huge on these as well...because the time "stamp" of these songs (from what we know) easily sends them back round about 1999 - 2002, which was the lineup back then....
