This young Lady helped several Trump supporters through a hostile crowd that were threatening violence and spitting on them. She did so even though she knows they most likely would not have done the same for her.I want to show her face as the media will probably not tell her story because it will stand in contrast with the narrative it was all rainbows and unicorns on the left.
I saw that earlier. Good for her. More people on both sides need to think that way. There's way too much,"my team is better than your team" BS going on for the past decade or so. The divisiveness is scary and I don't know if there's one person that can bring America back together.

This scary mean old "Nazi" woman certainly deserved to be dragged to the ground for holding her American flag. How dare she support free speech in America with such an egregious act. Way to put her in her place and make the world a better place tonight. Keep protesting!

Faldor,
Are u still running a Fantasy Football league this year? Just wanted to know whether or not I can defend my championship from last year.
Sure, if people are still interested I registered the league for another season. Every team from last year is automatically renewed, so if anyone wants to drop out or get in let me know. I set the draft for Wednesday 8/30 at 9pm EST.

You should be good to go this time around James. Hope you get to finally see them. I know you missed them last time around with your health scare. Enjoy the shit out of it!

Well from the other side of the coin, i can understand why longterm fans as us who have been jaded by all the previous misfires choose to believe in nothing....but I think it's stretching it to imply it's all fans making an assumption.
Lets be honest - the band got a custom channel on the radio dedicated to them, they set a tour date on the exact anniversary of their most famous album's landmark birthday, instead of a regular stadium show they chose to make it in an intimate famous theatre and make tickets prizes etc, they hung up billboards around the city of the theatre in advance saying #afd30, they used that same hashtag all across their social media in the days leading up to the show, then the venue itsself was reportedly decked out in AFD30 posters and logos.....
So if anyone assumed this show had something to do with AFD30 and not just another NITL show....well then really the band have themselves to blame for that.....
I'm not blaming anyone for expecting something different last night, I get why they did. I just didn't expect it myself. The band probably would've been flamed for celebrating the AFD anniversary in front of an exclusive crowd filled with celebrities, SiriusXM execs and employees, etc. I can almost guarantee people would be complaining that the real fans were disrespected by not having the opportunity to be in attendance.
Adler is not walking through that door. Izzy is not walking through that door. Sorum is not walking through that door. This is the lineup. They've shown what they can do and play. I wouldn't hold my breath on them breaking out some deep cuts. They have their routine down, and they're doing a pretty solid job with it across the globe. Changes will have to be made eventually or it'll just come to an end, but for now this is all we've got. And it ain't that bad.

It's one of the reasons why they're not doing press.
They don't need to and it will only hurt them.
It'll be interesting to see how the 2nd leg sells in NA. It'll sell like gangbusters internationally regardless.
I don't think the shows are selling as well this time around, yet they're still adding dates so they're obviously not concerned. There will come a time when the profits will shrink, and we may be at the start of that. At that point they'll have a decision to make. Until then though, I don't see any drastic changes.

They played Jungle in the encore?
I can only go by what I saw live a month ago and they did sound really good. Clearly it's a very different experience being there in person to dissecting a youtube video. I'm sure the overall atmosphere covers smaller deficiencies if you're there in person but they haven't been playing to 50k plus each night and serving up complete shit. People (and by that I mean people at the shows) wouldn't put up with it and word would spread. Yet reviews have been great from fans and reviewers alike. The London show I went to I went with two friends who knew the hits but nothing else and both left saying it was one of the best shows they've ever been to. That was only 5 weeks ago.
He meant the encore airing of the concert. They've been replaying it today.
I agree with you. Whether he sounds bad live, on YouTube, whatever the case. It hasn't really affected ticket sales or the reviews. The worst I've read, which I can't disagree with, is they look like they're going through the motions onstage. Still though, they're raking in money hand over fist. Literally laughing all the way to the bank.

Ok maybe not months but for weeks they promoted the shit out of the radio channel...and they keep going on about #afd30 and whatever....all so they can ignore the 30th of it?
It's just bizzare even for them.
Who promoted the shit out of the channel? The big 3 haven't promoted anything since reforming. Duff did a 1 hour radio show on the channel, and he and Slash recorded answers to questions they would play at various points in between songs. I'm not even sure Axl knows SiriusXM has a GNR channel at this point. And the AFD30 billboards and such are acknowledging a landmark album, but at no point was last nights show officially labeled as a celebration of that album. I understand people making that assumption, but I just don't expect any surprises from this band anymore and since we didn't hear any concrete info we got what I expected. I hate to say I tol you so, but I don't understand why people keep expecting the unexpected/something different. You summed it up in a previous post. It is what it is at this point. This is what we're getting until told/shown otherwise. So take it or leave it. I'm choosing to take it. Am I as excited about the current state of the band as I was a year ago? Absolutely not. But I don't see any reason to get upset at the things they're doing. You remember all the silent years? That was upsetting. This, is not that. That's for sure.

Hahaha I actually enjoy seeker much more with Slash than I did with the DJ band. It's rockier.
It's not personal to the seeker.
I'm just trying to understand why they promoted this for months in advance with #afd30 just to do the normal setlist with no guests and no special announcements or anything abnormal.
This wasn't promoted for months. The concert was announced a month ago and only within the past week did AFD30 billboards start going up. I thought the most we would've gotten tonight would've been some guest appearances, and not even necessarily AFD related. But the fact that it was the same show does not surprise me in the least.
