Yeah why the fuck hasn't Izzy been there yet?

Is it really the money issue?

Or is it as Axl said Izzy does what he does and is just a vagabond.

I mean he surely isn't on bad terms with Uncle Axl. And if they were I assume it is like a brotherly thing where they would get over it. Since they got back to their childhood. Those type of bonds last.

So I don't have a clue. Maybe avocado farming is the tits right now in California with the lack of rain? Beats me.

Hope he does show up.

I am now tempted to get tickets to the SkyDome show in Toronto.

Wow. That poster Adler came out great. Complete left-field, looking happy as a clam, and killing it with those two songs. I'm impressed.

I dunno. Adler just got a huge chip off his shoulder, as he outlived Farm Aid, that pathetic Civil War session, and a lifetime of bad choices - all in one quick swoop. Here's hoping he keeps up with his sobriety and stays away from past enablers.

Frank is on average bar band level and is the weak spot of the band. It is obvious to everyone. It doesn't bother me, 1it is what it is.  Adler too is superior from pure chops.

Well, I have to say. OTGM sounded killer with Adler. The rhythm section was oozing with groove.

Imagine Adler on Coma - shoud be interesting.

What Frank does bring however is no drama... Seems like a great dude and puts off good vibes and that is worth something.

Add up dependable and knows the entire back catalogue. He knows this is his lifetime opportunity, has been for a decade.

Yup. Who'd really be pining for Sorum over Adler, seriously?

If it would come down to picking one over the other, it'd be Adler - provided he can keep it real.

Based on that Cincy show, he can. :mosh:

Good post.

And agree with the Sorum thing.

I was shitting on Adler before, but, he looks really happy and content. I don't think he would have a big egotistical problem.

The thing is with Sorum, the dude gives off a bad vibe.

If he is such good pals with Slash and Duff and they're on incredibly great terms and they're buds and they fish and chat about their girl problems than he would be involved with this lineup.

He ain't and we have a reason for that.

I would be truly surprised if Sorum is involved on any level.

I am liking this new X-Box that will be released in August?

The white looks good. Hope it won't stain to yellow.

Already have a PS4 / WII U ha.

So looking to get a X-Box.

Question for you Europeans, how hard are the PS4's made in Japan to find?

Any details on what the PS4 Neo will look like?

If anyone wants to add me to PS4 I am: RNRWithMe , thanks Bowie.

Props to Steven for that nod. I was against it before, but, dude is really happy. I think it should be only a guest spot.

As for the Matt hatred, I am not trying to start a war with you Monkey. I get you have that position. And I respect that.

Yes, the band has a lot of money for this tour (not enough it seems to not be cheap fucks and make their shirts in the USA (can use American Apparel).

But there is no need for Matt on this tour.

Besides the hardcores no one cares about him.

As for BBF or Tommy opening, yeah that is a pipe dream. And the only way Tommy would likely open is if there were two openers and he was the first but even then... The only other option is if you know the Replacements opened for Guns. Not going to happen as a solo artist.

Buckethead is an established brand, but again. I don't see them having him open unless he was the first artist in a two band opening. It might be too weird for the crowd. And the majority of people don't know who he is and understand the Guns N' Roses reference.

Back to Matt, Duff has said he is negative. DUFF. And he is like the peaceful bridge between people.

Matt might have played on UYI and TSI, but he has no writing credits that is a fact. He isn't needed. If they want guests they'll give happy go lucky Steven the spot like Izzy styles back from 2006 onwards.

Also, Matt would likely fuck with the nice peacefulness in the band. That potential negative energy isn't good in a band that just reunited, and are establishing renewed relationships.

Now if you think Matt, is not negative and a saint, then why hasn't he guested? Also, why has he not been involved in many projects with Slash / Duff post: Velvet Revolver?

To me now this is speculation, any interaction with by Duff and Slash is like at Christmas time when you are forced to see a relative you don't care to have any formal relationship with.

It is ego and attitude.

If I was Guns N' Roses manager I definitely would not want that on the tour.

Also, it takes a shit on Frank who has had the gig since Brain left. There is some loyalty afforded to a guy who has filled in well and has been a good soldier for you.

He ain't going to be pushed aside because a minority of fans know / care about not even an original drummer in the band named: Matt Sorum.

To conclude, I ain't changing my tune on MS. And if he guests I would be highly disappointed. However, I doubt he will be involved.

If he was offered a spot I assume he declined as it wouldn't be enough dough / time in the limelight.

#235 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Set-List » 468 weeks ago

I'm tempted to shell out cash on a Toronto show.

But I am waiting on a change in the set. I don't hate this set list but yeah.

Will have to know if the gf is getting back together with me first.

Thank you 3 year relationship ending after my Detroit trip on the 24th, I don't love you anymore, marvellous I say!

Slash's solo on This I Love is great.

Again the crowd weren't into it. Prostitute is way better than it.

Show was great.

Just wished for 4 encores.

It's so easy
Brownstone
Cd
Jungle
Double talkin jive
Estranged
Live and let die
Rocket queen
You could be mine
Raw power
This I love
Civil war
Coma
Slash solo godfather theme
Scom
Better
Out Ta get me
"Wish you were here guitar fuckery Waaagh waaaa was assess"
November rain
Kohd
Night train
Don't cry
The seeker
Paradise city

No idea if posted but here is the set list I wrote it in my notes for every song. I've updated the 1st page with proper spelling and what not.

Axl and Slash were on fire as was Duff.

The whole band sounded great.

The new intro to Better is solid. As is the four part vocals.

Again Slash on fire.

Richard Fortus fashion sense has taken a turn for the worst ha. I like Fortus great guy. But, the red shirt was weird and showed his right nipple ha.

Axl mentioned something like fuck you Axl during Knockin' On Heaven's Door, when he introduced Richard Fortus again during some solo.

Big pops for when Axl leaned on Slash for a bit during KOHD. The fans went crazy for it.

Civil War really took it up a notch. Detroit loved that tune so much. People were rocking the fuck out.

This I Love probably got the worst response.

Coma didn't fair too well. But, I loved it.

My gf who isn't a GN'R fan said Axl really sounded good. The vocal coach has paid off.

Duff and Frank were sporting some Detroit t-shirt love as was Axl for a bit.

If you're looking for Made in the USA t-shirts, unfortunately, the band's vendor has them coming from Nicaragua.

Kind of weird that they are advertising the Appetite Cross yet two of the members (Izzy and Steven aren't there).

I'd rate the show a 10 / 10.

Only wish they did a dedicated a song for Orlando. However, I respect that they didn't get political, but, still.

The band went on stage at around 9:45 pm. Merchandise line ups are long, so be prepared.

Alice In Chains were on fire. Too bad we missed most of their set.

Went by Ford Field last night they have a GN'R logo advertising it put the image on the 1st page.

Hopefully we won't get too many covers, and a surprise since it is the kick off.

Stoked to see it.

Watch out for diapers on the sidewalks my fellow travellers ha. Saw two yesterday.

Very excited about this gig.

Thank god for A/C at Ford Field as it is going to be warm as fuck on Thursday.

Lucky about the pit. I wish I could have gotten tickets there. So I could grab the setlist after.

I am excited about the gig to see what songs are played.

Hope the opening rocks.
