According to Brain, Bucket leaving wasn’t the bullying it was that they wouldn’t release the album
Did BH also quit because of the cancelled tour Axl pretended he didnt know about? He got sick of Axl not being able to complete a tour as well.

I'd be pissed off.
The lost time, the missed opportunities, the toxic work environment, the crazy boss.
But I hope they come around the boards and know how much they're appreciated though. I know Robin is known for his work in Nine Inch Nails but he got absolutely railroaded by how this has played out. "But he took the check, took his hush money". Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go sell your garbage somewhere else.
I hope the Roy Thomas Baker mixes leak out.
At this point, someone should just leak out everything, its been long enough

Both these songs may have initially had an interlude sandwiched between them.
I wish we could've had the real Chinese Democracy before the leaks and long wait got out of control.
Even if the track list largely stays the same, it could've been different.
the interlude is eye on you
When listening to those discs I did wonder if some of that stuff was possibly used for interludes.
A shortened As It Began has interlude written all over it. So does Nothing.
The long CD intro on the album may have been a surviving interlude. Years earlier it might not have opened the album..but been the bridge that leads to another track.
Like Robin said in an interview when he left Gnr in 1999, there was a ton of stuff back then, and a good portion of the songs were just song ideas and not completed songs. He also said in 1999 when he left a lot of that stuff did not have lyrics either.
From what I remember he also talked about or maybe it was someone else back then, how Axl would take all these random song ideas and make them into songs
Listening to the Village tapes, you can easily see how this is the case and even later on when getting the album.

Yeah he just said it was on one song
I think we need to re-think some of the things we all assumed. I mean The General strings being split into two songs that may or may not have been one song at some stage is not a curve anyone saw coming at all.
I kinda saw it coming...not to this extent though.
When we heard Hard School and it had a sample of Eye On You pasted in, I knew they had started cannibalizing songs at some point. If they did it once, they probably did it more.
Also they need to think about Axl singing these songs live, does Axl really want to have to get through another 10 min song each night
if he spits the songs up, it could make it easier for him to sing. that is also probably why HS has that mini solo at the start to break up him having to sing so many lines in a row

The fact that it leaked here... although not the first song to leak here... hopefully not the last...is intriguing. That guy/girl could have literally posted it anywhere...mygnr, bad Apples, HTGTH, Hoffman, torrents, discords, social media platforms...yet they chose Evo.
Agreed. & a big thanks to who ever it was.
Has TB hassled you about this at all? What else leaked here way back?
Nope. They've never talked to me. I think they got the message back in the day when there was that attempt for the forums to all unite to ban/censor MSL to prevent leaks and I said they could fuck off.
Plus we were known back then as the outlaw forum and I said many times I was not for sale...don't give a fuck about "perks" such as emails and backstage passes.
Im pretty sure chicken dinner leaked here. Some of the Village discs might have or maybe hit the discord first. Not sure.
Some of those 2007 leaks hit our old forum (ROV) first.
Didn't that Walker guy leak a couple songs here years ago and everyone jumped his ass over the YouTube stuff?
the best thing about you and this forum is it was the only true forum for the fans that didn't kiss the bands or TBs butt for speical perks. Its why this is the only GNR forum I go to anymore.

Good to see you back Dale.
leaker probably cut the song in two to make it easier to upload and download
These were obviously two different songs at some point in the saga...even in the off chance it's not Soul Monster.
We're not going to know until release how this is formatted. Separate... combined...or hidden track?
They do work way better as two different songs
I really dig General but I’m shocked there’s not a big intro and outro considering those orchestrations
There is a weirdness to the re-recordings in the production. Even Axl’s vocals seem off like on Hardskool. Maybe it’s the loss of Pitman? Idk
If these are the slash versions, then the huge intro could have been cut like it was in hard school.

I'm confused. Why two songs leaked? The one i got called Monster i think is the general due to the similarities to the cell phone clip and Evader versión. And the one called 'The General' has nothing to do with the intros of the concerts or the phone clip.

Someone should do a remix with eye on you being the bridge between these two songs ha ha
