Is it utterly retarded in terms of an anti-capitalism movement, hell yes.
I understand.
However since I don't view it as an "Anti capitalism" movement, I do not agree with what you see as irony.

Sorry about your cat.
I have three dogs. One of them has dealt with undiagnosed allergies (constant itching) that requires prednisone for years. The long term effects of that drug have begun to wear her down and she now has a distended belly ( enlarged liver) and tumors all over her body. She can still make it around the block, but these days she moves pretty darn slow. She actually still has a decent life, but I know eventually it will turn a corner and we'll have to make the decision. I feel bad for her because if she's damned either way. If she doesn't get those meds, she would scratch until she bled, and then get a secondary infection from that. Long term use of those meds cause a laundry list of problems.

I thought the same thing. Obama needs an opponent to really get more accurate polling data.
The 999 plan would raise taxes on the working man, hardly an endorsement the GOP want to embrace as their own. However, the GOP are brilliant at propaganda so the contents may be completely irrelevant. Working class Republicans constantly vote against their own self interest. Not to mention, "My 999 tax plan" sure is catchy ain't it?
Cain's religious stuff may empower the Christian wing, but it may also bring out the lefties as a protest vote. Guess we'll see how it all plays out. I still think Cain's numbers will drop over the next few weeks. Real curious to see if they hold.

I thought it was ironic that the far right were so vigilant about courting Christie. He's spoken out against their ridiculousness and essentially told them the "Sharia law" horseshit was just that....crap and fear mongering. Something that probably wouldn't play too well with them if they were ever aware of it. He does have that Palin attack dog persona they seem to love, and he's obviously much more intelligent than her. I did wonder if he would go the veep route after he announced his support of Romney (which honestly at this point of the race I found odd.) Guess we'll see.
Romney could team up with Cain for a few obvious reasons: Race and Teabagger support. I can't really see anybody else teaming up from that group right now though. It will be an interesting race, as well as general election.
The polling numbers tell all kinds of different stories. Obama has held steady for general likability. An overwhelming majority of people who don't like his policies still say they like him as a person. His overall poll numbers aren't that great, but compared to the GOP led Congress they are fantastic. When polled people also say they trust Obama over the Republicans to create jobs and turn the economy around. I suspected after 2010, and still think now, that the GOP would over reach and shoot themselves in the foot for 2012.
The latest polls I saw showed Obama ahead, or within the margin of error, with every GOP candidate. That's strong considering he is not really campaigning and they are at this point. Also people always forget that when Obama speaks...he's numbers surge.
With this, it still won't be a cake walk for him and Romney could very well win. Personally I think Obama speaks softly and carries a rather large stick. A great example of that is his debt ceiling negotiations. When it was over Bohner claimed he got everything he wanted, and the media portrayed Obama as soft. But if you really dug into the details you'll soon realize Obama was playing chess and the GOP were playing checkers. If Bohner really believed what he said, then he's truly an idiot who got played. I have to believe he was just saying it as a bluff and to save face. For this reason, among others, I would never count Obama out.

I've always loved Whitesnake...thanks for putting these up.

Thanks man.
There was something else extremely heavy that happened in tandem with that (the death part.) It changed the way I viewed life forever. I can tell you in private if you'd like to hear something mind blowing.

In a capitalist society like ours, any time a large even happens, such as the wall street protests, you can be 100% sure there is money being made off it.
I disagree. When people marched in the street for civil rights were they also making money from it? Hardly.
In fact they were changing the landscape of America.
