I see lots of posts saying empty the vault or some such but personally I really don't think there is a "vault" ... I'm guessing maybe an album and a half from CD sessions but I think everything from the original Era has been released

Yeah who knows but we're looking at a minimum of 4 different versions of CD tracks alone.

Some might not be released for legal reasons.

It's important this is all shared as quickly as possible, imo, and Gn'R would be wise to make a buck where they can.

You beat me to it.

If Axl and the band can put together more performances like that, I'd 100% be interested in a live album, dvd, what have you.

honestly, it's just not that fun being a gn'r fan.

Bullseye.

I think Gn'R should take cues from 1993 and just have fun. Run a contest to find the most musically talented Domino's pizza guy or girl.

And start unloading some of the vault. Release a string of singles, let's say 4 singles. 1 single a month with 2 new songs and 2 alternate versions. That's 8 new songs. You've sold half of your album before it's even released and you can force them to double dip for the other half.

Go one further and make the final album be different from the single versions.

Think creatively and outside the box. I want the EDM version of Absurd. I want the 12" version of There Was A Time. I want the acoustic version of Madagascar. I dunno. Do cool shit. Do some of this cool shit at your concerts.

Live a little.

The comparisons to other bands doesn't really work in 2021.

We're living in the smartphone age with rock's popularity waning. I'd love to see it make a comeback because it's actually music unlike this other trash but that's neither here nor there.

As always, record company wants money. Some is better than none. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

It's a myopic decision.

Bray was booked horribly and their talent is getting old.

AEW is meh. It won't bring me back to wrasslin beyond passive observation of this and that. They're duplicating the TNA and WCW model of picking up cast-offs with no ability to develop talent on their own.

I thought Chyna doc was good..but the people that brought her back from Japan to do it were a bunch of addicts themselves so I'm sure it's wasn't good for her to be with them

What's it called? I'll watch.

The 2006 stuff was the best. For a brief moment, they got professional help.

But the Absurd video board is a good sign. I hope they continue to pay for quality design and video work.

Hey, we went from a 30 year old new song to a 20 year old new song. We're making progress here.

They're booked from now until the end of 2021.

They aren't booked in 2022 until June for the European leg.

So I guess Slash could squeeze in solo stuff there if he really wanted to.

Good idea but that timetable is too slow in the modern era, imo.

I think it's a good idea to not bury good press / good will but in my book, you play a new song a show and release it mid-tour.

In a perfect world....

They release Hardschool/Silkworms as a single/Double A side within a month...along with the announcement for an upcoming album this fall.

Within 30-60 days.... release another single... Perhaps an example.

Same amount of time later....a 3rd single to coincide with the album's release.

Your tour would be getting near continuous promotion and having your songs moving up the charts wouldn't hurt neither.

Yep.

They could even sell these with bonus original versions and/or exclusive artwork. Sell for $5 and you're making good money. And since there are at least 3-4 versions of these songs, it's not like you're lacking for material. Even if they ever released a CD-era box set, it would only have 1-2 versions of each song in all probability so they need to look for streams to release the old stuff.

Then you get them again for the full album.
