A new Slash podcast with Marshall Amps. Slash says after these tour dates have finished (which they have now) he'll have a few days break, then work will begin on the next album which will take a few months, so more info that fits in with the timeframe

So for now, all we'll find are probably some engineer, or equip related blog entries or tweets.

Mixing is an unknown, mastering will probably be Ted Jensen at Stirling, the new tracks will be registered with ASCAP or SESAC at some point. All this might be early next year

It'll be interesting to see what the tour cycle is, there's quite alot of competition and bands touring next year

Aren't Smashing Pumpkins gearing up for a big tour?

I'm not sure. There was talk of an anniversary tour, then talk of having a break next year. Plus Billy has just released a new solo album, so I'd guess he would want to tour that for a while

Two things to add, there is a show in Mexico being mentioned, a festival appearance 20/21 March

And Slash tweeted that yesterday was the final date on the NITL tour

I like Atlas, but I thought it'd be better than it is/was.

So, I agree with you. I actually hope they do not record it for the new album because it sounds dated unless they can swish it up a little. There's a lot more potential around

The person doing it though, supposedly is doing it FOR the band, and band or management hasn’t done anything to stop them. So Beta can play dumb if she wants, but she’s just as guilty by doing nothing.

And this person has helped remove hundreds of videos that mostly aren’t copyrighted material, and it’s fucked, because all this fantastic fan footage from over the years has all but disappeared.

Only in the land of GN’R does this shit happen...

From what I understand, they've taken things upon themselves to do shit. He had Soundgarden vids taken down, so I doubt that was at Axl's command. If you have had any interaction with them you know how completely irrational they are.

The username, fwiw, I don't doubt it's been used by more than one person as I've seen drastic changes in personality. At one point, I thought Axl used it on this site.

If this individual's really acting on their own accord to take things down and pretending that they represent the band in doing so, then GN'R ought to go after them in court. False representation, damaging the reputation of GN'R, etc etc.

It affects a few hundred online fans at best, I doubt most people in the wider world are really that bothered.

The band would then go into the newspapers as a band suing a fan claiming to be protecting the band. It'll just create more negativity on all levels. There's no winning this one as far as I can see..

I’m not saying Axl is responsible. But inaction from GN’R and management, makes it seem like they don’t care or want to care about stopping this individual that is doing all this.

And ultimately, it’s us fans that lose out, because like I said, hundreds of great GN’R videos have all but disappeared.

The unknown is how much power Axl has on his own. The making of CD has shown us that the record company holds a lot of power and can be awkward when they want to be.

Beta will have an opinion at best. Interscope have been quite hot on taking videos of YouTube for a while. They even took a Maroon 5 video off their official youtube site a few years back.

For GN'R to take back control, they would need to leave the label

There's a fraudulent take-down as far back as 2011

I suppose if the GN'R tour is the third largest of all time, it makes sense from the record labels perspective to take down all videos if a future DVD is coming out.

She commented on a fans instragram and basically said they have nothing to do with it and don't know who it is... but it isn't a fan. Also suggested they're not a fond of copy righted material. That's the gist, what has followed since predicatably on the forums is an onslaught of people claiming beta killed gnr.

I'm sure someone else can copy and paste the screenshots below.

The record company own the songs, I would have thought, they tell the Phonographic Industry people who then remove the songs under the DMCA act, or whatever it is.

I doubt it's Axl's management

It was good to hear the song, it was a slight hiccup, nothing more. It shouldn't put them off playing different songs.

The Las Vegas concerts I hope are interesting. It's an inflated price, so it'd be good to play something new, create some news, and set the path for next year coming.
