That repository of recorded music is my concern now. What does Axl do with music recorded by a band that no longer exists and was never lucrative?

Days ago I stumbled upon a Tommy quote from an interview. I almost posted it and wish I had now. He finally told us how many songs are left in the Chinese vault. 22 . One album with some B sides for singles could liquidate that vault and I hope that is on tap the next couple years.

Here you go!

Stinson says that there's "a bunch" of GNR material written and still waiting to be recorded -- "some of it worthy of finishing, some of it probably not" -- in addition to 22 songs recorded during the "Chinese Democracy" process that were not included on the album.

I too am voting Tommy for he is a decent chap who as you say was involved with the band for a very long time. I like Ron, it was nice watching him play with the band...but I am not too fond of his "clues are out there" statement. I wish he had handled it differently.

A few minutes into the album and I already love it. Does this man ever release average/crappy music? 16

(James: forever indebted to you for getting me into Buckethead).

Did I just read a rumor that they're rehearsing in Seattle, and Uncle Axl sang Fall To Pieces?

If they did that song live, as a tribute to Scott, my fucking heart would melt. Maybe this "hybrid lineup" is gonna bang out some VR/CD stuff?

This I Love with Slash for the fucking win.

As much as I love TIL (and I have good reasons to, finck ) I would like this lineup to play lots  of old GNR songs... That's what I expect from them.  I want to hear Slash play songs he worked on because I didn't have the opportunity to see the band in the good old days. Most of Appetite as well as some of UYI. I want to hear Estranged and Dead Horse and Locomotive (one of my favorites)... Get In The Ring! Bad Obsession! Dust n' Bones! There are so many of them. They really should do 4 hour shows, 16

We're currently working on some awesome updates to Evo and I had to dig out the section which stores all of the band member info. The forum view counts don't lie....

Congratulations Matt!

Unbelievable!  Maybe he should have been asked to be part of reunited Guns n' Roses. tongue

I remember the album cover but not the songs, 16 I think I haven't listened to them since 2008.

Marvin Gaye - I Heard It Through the Grapevine

Guns n' Roses - Locomotive

Stevie Wonder - Sir Duke

@James: Was it the album with a song called Lovely Head?

Good point on starting from scratch but I'm a bit tired of the waiting game. 14

C'mon James, it's only a couple songs. Not a whole album. 16
