Asthma cigarettes? I know they used to drugs in the old day as a way to cure different things but I never seen some of these before! How interesting
Somebody I know would have a field day if these were still available today
Years ago Doctors would recommend cigarettes in ads (shown before movies) for your health.

I saw that today on FB. If you google it, it's all over the place. My heart goes out to that guy.

Heard this. I haven't had Health Insurance for years. Just can't afford it.
I know a guy here in the U.S. that tried to fix that... but we all know how it worked out. He was called Socialist and a Nazi and all kinds of stuff, so everyone smiled and accepted being a brainless zombie for a corporation.
As it turns out, Obama's new health care law also allows many more people to be covered by Medicaid than originally thought. The gap before Medicare kicks (age group 57-65 ...ballpark) in and for families under a certain income. That's millions more being covered under the "evil" socialist healthcare system the GOP were foaming at the mouth over.
Ironically the same shitheads who screamed the "S" word for a year must have forgotten that it was Bush who oversaw the largest expansion of Medicare in this nation's history. Tisk tisk.

Our armed services veterans have government run health care. Seen any veterans hospitals? No thanks, not for me.
My wife uses the VA all the time and care is great. She had a surgery about 18 months ago and the experience was top notch from start to finish.
Our senior citizens have been using socialized medicine for years now and they seem to be quite content with it. I don't see them marching in the streets demanding change. Try taking it away from them and see what happens though...
I wouldn't say our country is an "Ungodly blend" of Socialism and capitalism. It's simply a blend. Something they'll tell you in a basic economics class. We are a capitalistic society with aspects of Socialism sprinkled about. Frankly I think it's worked just fine so far.

I dont agree with the fuck off attitude. At the end of the day someone lost their life and they had family and friends who loved them. Totally out of line for Ebert to post that garbage. I'd knock him the fuck out if I was Bam and saw him in person.
And from someone who has had a DUI, mistakes are made. No one is perfect.
I agree. The guy already gave his life. Yes it was stupid, yes it was a mistake, but have some respect.

Well, if it is DUI then he can fuck off.
Roger Ebert, is that you?
