Curious what they're going to do about this.
Will it be empty stadiums? Not like they can push it too next year.
That was too soon.
I'm actually starting to doubt it happens next Summer either.
I think uefa ect. really should have a backup plan and not proceed like this is all going to be over soon.

Whoa, hadn't heard he died yet. Ashame, I always thought his 9/9/9 tax plan wasn't awful, deserved consideration. Maybe not 9/9/9 exactly, but a form of flat tax (looking Amazons way ie. $0)
Supposedly he tested positive a few days after this:

He's dead btw, however his twitter account (I presume ran by a staff member or a family member) has been spamming anti covid tweets for a while.

Has anyone actually even heard Oklahoma? And we’ve got a thread asking who wrote it when we haven’t heard it yet...
Only in the land of GN’R...
We heard the instrumental last year. No Axl, but I mean you can tell it's a kick ass guitar driven track.
It's exactly what an updated GNR might have sounded like in 96. Hence the thought that maybe it actually is.

"[Oklahoma] was inspired by a court date with ex-wife Erin Everly. 'I was sitting in my litigation with my ex-wife, and it was the day after the bombing, [April 20th, 1995]' Rose remembers with a wince. 'We had a break, and I'm sitting with my attorneys with a sort of smile on my face, more like a nervous thing - it was like, 'Forgive me, people, I'm having trouble taking this seriously.' It's just ironic that we're sitting there and this person is spewing all kinds of things and 168 people just got killed. And this person I'm sitting there with, she don't care. Obliterating me is their goal.'" (Axl, Rolling Stone, 2000)
"As the far as the songs go: 'Oklahoma' was pretty much written by the time they got to the studio. Axl wrote that with inspiration from the Oklahoma City bombing (more as a tribute to those who died, if I'm not mistaken). [...] (Dave Dominguez, Sp1at, 02/07/05)
[...] Song after song combines the edgy hard rock force and pop smarts of vintage Guns N Roses with surprisingly modern and ambitious music textures. In addition to the album's almost grungy title track, tentative song titles include 'Catcher in the Rye,' 'I.R.S,' 'The Blues', [...] 'Oklahoma' - heard tonight only as an instrumental, [...] and 'TWAT,' which he says stands for 'there was a time.'" (Rolling Stone, 01/00)
Q:-What's a Riad/Bedouin and can you clarify for the last time if the song is Oklahoma or not?
A: Another one step at a time question! It’s not Oklahoma which later became Berlin and subject to change. (Axl Rose, chinesedemocracy.com, Dec. 2008)

#268 Re: Guns N' Roses » Richard Fortus Gretsch Guitars Instragram Q and A » 259 weeks ago
What I meant was, I don't think Fortus got what fans were trying to get him to read in terms of Hardschool. Like it went over his head, I'm sure he's heard since it was soundchecked. However he wouldn't have been on that demo and I don't think Fortus frequents the forums.
He does however seem to be aware it's the Axl, Slash and Duff show. Thia is just my interpetation.

Rough transcript if not video will probably come.
Hopefully someone uploads it on youtube or posts a link to a stream.
Paraphrased selections:
- Says he doesn't want go talk about a new album, cause he doesn't want to spoil surprises.
- Is asked how did he last so long in gn'r, says don't piss anyone off.
- Is asked about when did Axl tell him about Slash/Duff coming back, say Axl didn't tell him about it.
- Someone says new album doesn't exist, Fortus says okay
- Someone gets him to read out your too hardschool (Don't think 4tus realizes what it is).
That's it really... mostly just him trying to talk about guitars.

Was there ever a point early on it was supposed to be 1 album?
For starters, I wanted to hear 'Why Do You Look At Me When You Hate Me?'.
Imagine my surprise when hearing Get in the Ring. It was pure cringe.
There's a single disc called Axl's advance copy included with the UYI Q discs. It's mostly finished uyi 1 tracks (demo quality sound) with Get in the Ring and a few others, however Get in the Ring for some reason is an instrumental. Which means it was finished much later than the other tracks.
Also Ain't Goin Down is included. Ain't Goin Down is deff not a demo. Though tbh it would have needed different lyrics not to be b side material.
Didn't someone claim years ago it was supposed to be 4 albums originally? ...Or was it that Axl wanted 4?
