RIR is one of the few festivals or the only one a band could (should?) play even without a new album. As much as i'm bored to hear the classics by the 'new' band, playing RIR is always fun.

They all get my respect. I don't give a shit what their opinion is on other people. They are all members of my favorite band and that is enough to get my respect.

Baz is Skid Row? 
This guy has become a joke, he didn't even write the lyrics and melodies, just some of them. I still think he's an amazing singer and frontman but without the others he'd have been Poison Part II, with no music and shitty lyrics. Snake and Rachel Bolan wrote 90% of the songs, Baz was important and irreplacable, but Skid Row wasn't only him. Five guys made the band, and even Scotti and Rob Affuso were really important since they were the best musicians in the band. Five gyuys made the band, not the singer. I'm sick of these singers who act like music wouldn't matter.

He has 50 songs? Fine, I expect someone of his caliber to write 4-5 songs a year. I don't care about how difficult it is for Axl to release an album. He makes it difficult. Every other band and artist has problems. Axl released his first album in 1987 and his last of original material in 1991. Now we're in 2008. I don't care about anything else.

yeah izzy got clean himself before he quit and then it was really hard ot be around it all...watching his freinds kill themselves and watching axl become consumed by power...he's had some pretty candid interviews on the matter
anyway its funny everyone throws around the "junkie" word like its derogatory and axl can do no wrong....cuz there was a time when he was jsut as bad as the rest of them, as far as substance abuse went
Not to mention that the current line-up isn't that clean of drugs and booze, just think about Tommy, and I'm also not sure about Richard and Robin's addictions. Even Axl is a heavy drinker, he canceled a show in 2006 because he wasn't allowed to drink onstage.

I don't know Mikka, I think genetics are a much bigger decider in self than experiences are. I used to think that environment had as much or more to do with a life as biological info did, but then I took an Anthro class and read a lot of research that supported the contrary.
I want to cure aging. If cloning technology can help with that, then I'm all for it.
I agree that genes are more deciding. Depending on which scientist you ask, they say that genes decide in 60-80, and experiences 20-40 percent thaqt what we are. But it shows that what happening with us, what we learn is still very important. It's like you have (most of) your destiny in genes, but it's nothing like predestination, if you know what I mean.
