Too bad half the people writing the album is gone. Maybe Finck by summer. I always said so...he won't be back until at least summer 09 and would he even bother doing another tour straight after the one he just did? I think chances are slim and it's with a bitter taste I see that none of my gave guitarists are in the band anymore. Thank god Ron is there, the great guy that he is and how he made this album better than what it would have been without his input.

Catcher has way too much going on now too. The original greatness of the song is lost with all the extra layers of stuff on top. Makes me wonder if I'd feel the same way if I'd never heard the demo.
You got "demo-fever".
The new version is much better. Don't get how people think a crappy demo recording is better.

I'm not sure what's going on with that Finck guy...on one hand he seems like the nicest guy ever...with his spiritual and artistic sides and stuff. He used to have a great website too.
On the other hand, he never did anything of what Ron does to win us over.

Im interested in songs I haven't heard, but I'll be more cautious about what I listen to since it might be out soon.
However, I've never had the "demo-flu" as I like to call it, when someone listens to demo records so bloody much they dont like the finished version. Same folks who would have whined about the same if they heard the finished product first and then the demos 3 years later

The more I listen to the album, I can hear where Ron had his input. He didn't do much but what he did was exactly what the album (demos) lacked. He added that little sleaze..the little bits and parts that make GNR into GNR and neither BH or Finck saw it.

Is it just me or is it a bit odd that not one interview has been done with any band member? Especially Axl?
Wouldn't it be the time to call Rolling Stone and say "I'm ready to speak now", and promote this album thru some interviews?
I just find it a bit strange...
The album is coming out and not one word from anyone in the band besides Robin Finck in a parking lot or something saying "yeah I hear it's coming out".
