Slash surprises me for being so low. As for Angus, I think it's "Favorite" not best, and everyone loves ACDC.

Dont feel bad.. Slash is no heavy metal guitarist.

Decent list. I wouldnt put a lot of those guess as HEAVY METAL. Brain May? Queen is not metal.

I think you're mixing it up. It's "Heavy Metal Guitarists FAVORITE Guitarists"  not "Favorite Heavy Metal Guitarists".

AHHHH now this list makes a bit more sense.

#2932 Re: The Sunset Strip » Top Heavy Metal Musicians Select Favorite Guitarists Of All Time » 892 weeks ago

Okay I disagree with that. Why is Hetfield ahead of Hammet. Also I wouldn't consider some of those guitarists as "Heavy Metal" I mean Brian May definetly does not fit that category and as good as he is, Eddie Van Halen I wouldn't class as metal. They're all great guitarists just the some that are in this list, the some that aren't and the rank some received is  a tad a'skew.

Life's OK:
Fall To Pieces- Velvet Revolver

Mental Breakdown:
Shadow Of Your Love- Guns N' Roses

Driving:
Eraser- Nine Inch Nails

Flashback:
Blacken The Cursed Sun- Lamb of God

Getting Back Together:
You Not Me- Dream Theater

Birth of Child:
Jam Stew (Unreleased Instrumental) - Deep Purple

Okay as soundtrack that would be awesome to buy but I reckon as a movie this would suck.

Wow. yikes

An old album hitting the top 200 is very unusual.

I'm sure management is watching that development very carefully.

Looks like all the reunion talk and lack of anything CD related has boosted AFD back on the charts.

The album hitting the top 100 is insane. If anything newsworthy happened this week(it wont), AFD could literally hit the number one spot.

An album number one in 1988 regaining the top spot 20 years later??

Under the right conditions, it could happen.

No shit. That's fucked. cracking the top 200 is one thing but to make the top 100 is even crazier.  Imagine if they rereleased a song like It's So Easy or Nightrain as a single and all the little young kids got to hear one of those songs instead of the standard three. I bet it could boost album sales in a  big way. I often wonder what young kids think when a "rareity" like YCBM or Yesterays or Dead Horse or Brownstone come on the radio.

YCBM isn't much of a rarity as it gets some airplay on music TV channels. But the other ones you mentioned basically hardly anyone in my age group knows of them.

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A FILM, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?

So, here's how it works:

-You put your mp3 player/iTunes/Windows Media Player etc on shuffle

-And you put the songs in the correct places for which they appear as so in mine:

Opening Credits:
Where You Come From- Pantera

Waking Up:
Nothing Else Matters- Metallica

First Day At School:
Head Down- Nine Inch Nails

Falling In Love:
One Way Street- Aerosmith

Fight Song:
Anything Can Happen in the Next Half Hour...- Enter Shikari

Breaking Up:
Like Light to the Flies- Trivium

Prom:
Outta Get Me- Guns N' Roses

Life's OK:
Symptom of the Universe- Black Sabbath

Mental Breakdown:
Anna Lee- Deep Purple

Driving:
Sick Love Song- Motley Crue

Flashback:
Mr Crowley- Ozzy Osbourne

Getting Back Together:
Redneck- Lamb of God

Birth of Child:
Love is Only a Feeling- The Darkness

Opium Of The People:
Dragon Wagon- Red Chord

Wedding:
Stuck Inside- Sebastian Bach

Final Battle:
Never Gonna Give You Up- Rick Astley (I have this song to annoy people, why'd it come up now sad )

Death Scene:
The Razors Edge- AC/DC

Funeral Song:
Welcome Home- King Diamond

End Credits:
It's True That We Love One Another- White Stripes

You have to put them in to their place in the order they appear and you gotta take what you get, so NO CHEATING to make it fit. You're allowed to skip though if it's a song you've already had.

#2938 Re: The Sunset Strip » Play your library randomly » 893 weeks ago

I've Played a game similiar to this only your results are usually a bit more humorous because of the context they're being used in. I'll post a thread for it after this.

Rolling Stones- Brown Sugar

Deep Purple- Black Night

Blue Oyster Cult- Morning Final

Metallica- Battery

Metallica- Whiplash

Pantera- Becoming

All great tracks. Now to go post my thread big_smile

#2939 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Starts...(Rumored GH Re-Release in June) » 893 weeks ago

Well Greatest Hits is how I got into GN'R through the exact same way MC ^^^^^ described. So perhaps they're trying to draw in a new audience and then release it. Or maybe they just want some more cash.

#2940 Re: The Sunset Strip » METALLICA Discussion » 893 weeks ago

"Bow down sell your soul to me" does this continue to "what a fucking cliche?"

It's sounding better than St Anger but still far from anything amazing.
