This isn't really a rant but I didn't know where else to put this without making a thread... fuck it's been driving me nuts. What album cover is this on the left, does anyone know?

I've been watching this podcast and he has great taste in music and I usually check out anything he has but I dunno what the hell that one is! Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Instantly as I posted this, my buddy somehow figured it out finally and it's Santana.

I'm not saying you're wrong for feeling like that or anything, I'm just kind of surprised that after all the stuff we've been through as a fanbase, this, right now, seems to be the breaking point for some. I thought things were going relatively good lately, with actual activity, good shows and band members we actually like. I guess I was wayyyyyy off base. 16

I was waiting for someone else to chime in so I wouldn't have look like a dick... but you're 100% right. The vocal detractors (who all seem to claim to have no interest anyways!) of late have gone off their rocker to bash shit that millions of people are fucking loving. They're making presumptions based on people they have never met and they have no idea what they're talking about. A new song could be in the works and hit tomorrow and the people will flip their switch for a week until they get tired of the song. Or if there is no new music, the band never promised anything new, so shut the fuck up already, right? Anyone with half a brain should have expected about a 1% chance of anything new at all post Chinese to begin with. We got a Not in This Lifetime Tour... that's what everyone wanted to see before and now and the ticket sales are proof.

I'm tired of people claiming they're phoning it in or they don't care. If they didn't care, they wouldn't be playing 3 hours and 10 fucking minutes a night. I saw GNR last Sunday and it got rave reviews from critics and fans alike, and every person I work with or know who knew I was going and knows I'm a huge fan ask how it was, and I tell them, and they say, yeah, I heard it was great from everyone. Everything is going fucking fantastic. With any luck, every few years we can get legit GNR shows go around the horn when the guys do their own things with the people they want to work with.

I saw the concert last night in Regina and it is without question the best show I've ever been to. Everything about it was amazing and the boys played some 3 hours and 10 minutes... pretty insane. At one point I'm almost positive Duff called the city Saskatoon, but maybe I only picked up what he was saying mid sentence.

I can remember being around 8 and watching GNR on TV thinking that it sucks that I'll never get to see them. Just why I thought that - I already kind of kept to myself and didn't like to travel, or maybe I just knew I was too little - I dunno, but I never forgot that memory to this day. In 2010 I saw GNR in Regina as well and it was great, too... but nothing matches Slash on guitar. Slash on the guitar for 3+ hours is basically heaven on fucking earth. So 25 years later, I did get to see the guys I wanted to see back together on stage and all is well.

I found myself at times just getting lost in the music, as grand as the stage was... I was kind of staring off into an array of colors and listening to the my favorite band of all time. It was surreal and natural at the same time. Being from a small town (I had to travel just to get to Regina), these moments with big name bands don't come too often and I appreciate that I was able to experience this. I was even happier that they came out so strong for this memory.

Between the drinks and even more, the excitement and balls to the wall length, the entire show seems like a blur and one of the best nights of my life.

When I saw GNR in 2010, Baz opened, and he was killer. I wish to God he was opening when I see them next Sunday.

I appreciate the diplomacy, but man, if there's a band that needs to reunite it's Skid Row.

I might be fucking drunk, but at least I appreciate The Seeker because I actually listened to it... so I'm glad for that for when I see them next month. Wish they'd play it in the middle for a piss song, but I think I'm gonna have to piss during Coma... actually, maybe that's appropriate.

Oh shit hahah "The Seeker is such a highlight" was said on the cast.

I'm on the youtube stream during Patience and some chatter named "jameslofton" chatted something like GO AWAY AXL MOUSE (not making it up, just saying truth)

EDIT:

Also has said

IZZY

and something along the lines of Axl is a disgrace haha

I can't be the only one here stoned as fuck happy listening to Pigs on the Wing

#28 Re: Management » Is This Forum Dying? » 414 weeks ago

I might just be ripped on Canadian Club, bong rips and edibles... but GNR is the #2 attraction of the year behind Beyonce. We're finally winning. Shut the fuck up with the in-fighting. Every time someone dissed Axl when you'd bring him up has been defeated... get it together, cocksuckaz

#29 Re: Management » Is This Forum Dying? » 416 weeks ago

Every forum is dying, it's not just here. The reasons that I believe they die are:

1) No one wants to discuss anything anymore. That ship has sailed. This generation of new/old people who now use the internet (even a decade ago, it was the hardcores of hardcores fuckin' around on forums, now it's everyone except they use social media), they're idiots who just want to get likes. They're not cut out to discuss, because the second you beat them in an argument, you're "bullying" them.

2) It's all on social media as above.

3) And this one is the most important... Most all forums, like anything, get stale. They really have a shelf life after they peak. Regulars begin to argue or some shit goes down, people leave. And another funny thing about regulars is that sometimes they come to a place out of habit, so you get a fanbase cannibalizing itself because they show up to, say GNREvo, because that's just where they've always went. Out of habit, they come back, but they lack enthusiasm about GNR and get negative, or nothing can please them. So the bad apples start spoiling the bunch because no one wants to be around people like that.
---

I'm not "regular" enough here to really speak for anything that's gone on here in particular, that's for sure (though I do see so much negativity, I can see why people would just stop coming back). However, all my above points are 100% based on facts in regards to another forum I used to visit religiously for a decade, so I can't imagine here would be much different.
