I don't think it sounds that bad. I kinda like the vocal harmonies he added to the chorus, even with the mickey voice.

Yeah, Faith is a pretty heavy one; I just think it needs another. It’s a little short for me and a bit on the lite side. One more heavy tune would balance it for me.

Yeah, I wouldn't have minded that either. Did you get a chance to hear the 2 cover versions on the deluxe album? If not, I have some download codes I can give out.

I’ve given the album two good listens since it came out today.

It’s pretty good but i have a few complaints.
-First, at 40 minutes it’s a little short, especially considering 3 of the tracks are instrumentals.
-We already heard the best songs before we even had this. Rats and Dance Macabre are just incredible tunes, but the drop off to the next tier of songs is steep.
-Too ballad heavy. It needs a Mummy Dust-type rocker. If it had one more heavy tune, it solves all three of these issues.

It’s ballsy having two full-length instrumentals. I like that courage. 30 years later i’m still waiting for Slash to have that type of courage.

Is Faith not in the same vein as Mummy Dust? That song fuckin rocks my socks off.

This record is such a weird collection of tunes, but I love it. I have been listening back to back since Thursday.

Miasma is fucking awesome as well. I want to take some LSD and float through space to this song haha. Witch Image is really great as well.

I really feel like this album is a Sonic landscape of synth and guitar, with Tobbe using his voice as an instrument as well with the heavy layering of vocals.

I need to give it some more listens before I can say where it falls on Ghosts discography, but I am heavily digging it.

I never thought I'd see the day. Really cool of Axl to play one of Slash's songs.

That, or a new album. I'm not sure which is more likely. 16

He might of thought he had leverage if the media painted it in a more negative light that he wasn't there, but lets be real, everyone just wanted to see Axl and Slash back together.

Dance Macabre is the song of the year. It’s full-on pop, yeah, but so catchy and memorable. The hook was stuck in my head for days after 1 listen.

And there’s actually some really clever lyrical things going on when you know the song is about the plague and spending your last hours alive making the most of every second.

Yeah, the singer said in some interviews that the song is just about fucking and partying since everybody was dying in those days lol

I learned about this album here, I think, and I randomly saw it on my Amazon thing and I thought... fuck it, I'm giving these guys a chance. The vinyl is beautiful and they have all the old school horror vibe (they steal everything visually in the Rats video from other horror films - but at least they are artistic and visual about it, like KISS, but to a hardcore horror fan, despite the average viewer not having a clue it's all stolen). At least it isn't Rob Zombie retardation... well besides the white horse in the video... which is also akin to spaghetti western ideals where he who rides the white horse is a ghost.

Yeah, the video is also a reference to "the dancing plague" where people would just dance for no reason until they died.

I'm mostly digging this new direction. I saw them live in Riverside on May 5th, and they have upped their stage production considerably. There's more people onstage, and most of the vocals and things are live. Only things they are still using tape for is intros to songs and orchestral stuff. Definitely recommend checking them out this tour. They're also headlining a couple of arena dates so things are looking up for this band.
