If I remember correctly Axl was still saying no to licensing deals in the early 2000s because it would cheapen the image. He certainly had commercial motivation from the very start, but it was not his everything then. Now he's sitting on more money than ever with zero interest in music production. His old pals are back, everything just laid out for him. It's like a chef who suddenly hates cooking. Slash, Duff are still doing shit. It might not be great, but they are musicians so they are doing shit. Wtf is Axl doing? What is he seriously spending all that free time on? Does he hate music? Legitimate question.

Axl is working hard in the studio right now!
In the China Exchange interview he plainly said the band was not releasing music because there was no money in it. He didn't care about any of that back in the day, but suddenly now when he's loaded he has no interest in an album if he doesn't get paid.

Not sure why it's considered more secure by browsers when we use a third party to provide SSL. I'd think it was more secure handling it in house ourselves but then how would all the internet corporations make money?
A way to squeeze small operators out of business I would guess. Or pay us!
Running a regular company I need to pay professionals at least 10k a year just to be on top of all the tax laws and regulations.

I think that pretty much goes for most every country song. Simple life experiences and pleasures. Guy met a girl who was into GNR late night at a bar and they lived happily ever after.
Yeah, but the whole weaving in GN'R song titles part.

Good enough song, but this reminds me why I don't like country. Why would you write a song like that?
#26 Re: Guns N' Roses » Isaac Carpenter is the new drummer » 25 weeks ago
I'm not going to check out any of his work. If it's good I might be disappointed, if it's bad I will be biased from the start.
I wonder how Matt feels about this. According to him Duff was all "yeah we want you in the band but Axl won't let go of Frank", then Frank leaves and Matt doesn't get the call.

Looks like they wanted a younger drummer to get more energy into the show. Makes it more likely S&D pushed Frank out.
Not the best result, but I'm looking forward to hearing some new blood in the band.

I love the idea of a musician making a song worse because he's bored. Fuck the audience right. Buckethead also has this weakness where he will change up a great solo with a completely mediocre one because repeating the good one is just too much hassle. Slash have some instances of this too on certain songs. In every case the alternative version tends to be shit.
In lieu of Matt returning perhaps this Isaac character is the best outcome.

Am I incorrect or did not Sp1at said a few months ago that Matt had an open invitation to join the tour on 2025?
You are correct.

Regarding the drummer, Frank Ferrer is drummer for 2025. There is an open invitation for Matt Sorum to be a guest if and when he wants, apparently.
And there's nothing happening this month musically speaking. They're all at home having a break until after New Year. Duff played some charity gig last week
Not sure how much we should read into that. There's a difference between playing a few songs at a few gigs and becoming a full time member.

Matt might not be realistic, but from an economic standpoint his name on the bill would be a bigger draw than anybody except Adler. And we know how much these guys like their cash. I'm giving it an outside chance. Brain would be fine but I'm not really ecstatic about it. That Isaac guy from Duffs band might work just as well. Outside of Matt/Steven it just doesn't seem very important who the drummer is.
It's sad to see Steven these days. Back in 2016 he was killing it. This is probably the best song performed in the reunion:
No chance of that happening anymore.
