#22 Re: Guns N' Roses » HOB 2001 New Verision » 15 weeks ago

When I looked into this years ago I'm pretty sure I found out that HOB had a service where your gig could be shot by an in house crew (for a charge) I think the tapes were kept on site. It's a long time ago now so I may be conflating it with The Joint. Regardless that's what this version seems to be, with the other version filmed by a crew probably hired by Goldstein.

Haven't studied the audio or compared it to the other versions but pitman and Dizzy seem way higher in the mix than those one's.

I heard Central Park is a early instrumental demo of Catcher that Slash of all people came up with that Axl later reworked and wrote lryics for in 98/99,
I wonder how true that is as Axl was clearly butthurt due to Slash's departure and shit on his blues rock music.

That would kind of make sense. Lennon and Yoko lived opposite Central Park and she had a memorial thing put there after he died.

Very interesting. I've never heard the Canoga Park rumor before. Still can't find any reference to it through searching the forums.

My mistake on that, the title of the rumoured song i was thinking of was Central Park, & there's is no reason to think it's real as far as i'm aware.

RIP Sid ..... Off to play softball in the sky.

One of the worst leg breaks I have ever seen & his screw ups on promo's are the stuff of legend. If you heard the word Pro Wrestler in the early to mid 90's then Sid was the image of what that looked like.

Hogan screwed the guy at the Royal Rumble, but at least he got the title off HBK years later.
