Is it still legal to ask a a woman out on a date? This is silly. We keep inviting the law into our lives as the government becomes more and more corrupt. We don't need our natural and harmless behaviors governed.

I agree. Slash wanted GNR back on top and if that meant falling on the sword and taking all the blame so Axl could feel like Slash as in the wrong and he was right so be it. Slash doesn't give a fuck about that. He did what it took to get GNR back to the top. Thing is Slash deserves the 50% more than Axl by far. The ONLY reason this shit is big is because of Slash. Really ironic when you think about it.

When you say "the only reason this shit is big is because of Slash" what do you mean?

If you're saying slash made GNR by himself....I think you're in the minority.

I am saying this tour with no Slash would be a small arena tour at best. Slash brought the crowd.

It would be bigger than myles and slash. Most people like both is the deal. They both need each other to pull this off.

2 - (best artistic result) a brand new album using whatever they want to use but only featuring unheard tracks and completely recorded by slash, duff, axl, frank, etc.

I'll take any new tracks I can get, but I sincerely hope they have the artistic integrity not to go for option 1.

if they took the cores of cd songs and rerecorded....... the production and mixing alone, which we all agree is less than perfect, would be better. not to mention songs like catcher that slash could drastically improve the solos for.

the debate matters not if cd featured the best of the new guns contributions.
there is no need for axl to pay homage to buckethead on a bunch of leftover songs - respect and inclusion was all over cd 1.

having said that, we got an album that was tinkered and rerecorded to death - i wouldnt ask for more of that, for the sake of adding slash.

best case scenarios in my opinion are:

1 - (realistic) rerecording/remix of cd with slash and duff, including a few new tracks  and a dvd of current tour and whatever they want to add into a box set.

or

2 - (best artistic result) a brand new album using whatever they want to use but only featuring unheard tracks and completely recorded by slash, duff, axl, frank, etc.

Sixx:Am might be easy to play, but Ashba has created his own sound, and every guitarist would kill for his own sound. What else, my theory is that he picked up a couple of ideas from Chinese Democracy sessions - the changes he did between the 2nd and 3rd Sixx:Am album is a good example. Slash haven't done any of interest since Illusion IMO.

by creating his own sound are you including his writing or just his lead guitar parts?

when you compare guitar playing alone slash destroys him IMO

are you guys comparing the songs as a whole or just the guitar leads?

ashba has to resort to single finger tremolo picking when he decides to add climax to his solos but is a good writer. hard to compare the two because they have different strengths. same goes for comparing axl and slash after breakup and comparing cd with vr in order to do so. axl doesnt play guitar/slash doesnt sing. axl shines on cd and slash on some vr and solo stuff. slash shined on some spaghetti and snakepit too but you need more than the one in rockn roll to be the best.

six am is slightly different music. my 6 yera old could play some of their stuff but it still appeals to that kind of listener.

Nice...Catcher kicks ass...I thought they did really good...Axl sounded killer...why u say Mickey?

Because he sounds like Micley high on helium. Compare yesterday`s performance with this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lcEK0GGsaA world`s difference.

You are comparing a performance with:

All Rasp and, although i like it, is lacking in tone

VS.

A performance that is:

Clean LIKE THE STUDIO VERSION and much more full of tone and range

It sounds to me like you are calling anything without rasp MICKEY. Maybe I am wrong and you are entitled to your opinion but you seem to be alone with that opinion.

irs has killer vocals. add izzy and slash in their primes and it easily fits on illusions.

axl has had no problem with irs in the past and is singing much better than he has in decades. he is nailing more than one register, wag.
