Pay Axl. Then you'll get a fuck ton of money from us you crazy assholes.

Sorry for the language, but this is enough to drive a girl crazy. :-P

As far as CD and synth goes, every band member has said there are several versions of each song. I doubt synth plays a role in each version.

I think that synth will play a role in all of the songs whether consciously or subconsciously. No one really says "oh hey...that's synth on Paradise City". It's only noticeable when it's a more industrial type song or is used far too much (IE: There Was A Time intro).

For zutaut to claim one version kills the other version means there must have been something a bit different about it.

True, but you never know when each recording is from. Technology has vastly improved in the last 10 years and I would think that looping and all the complexities that Axl is going for would be able to be weaved together better anyway.

Also Zutaut was in the studio where he probably heard a nice crisp temp-mix. Not an 128 kbps. outdated demo used for reference.

For example, on the album version of Chinese Democracy, Ron plays fretless and using the live recordings as a guide will sound really fast and dynamic. Although I love the song "Chinese Democracy", the drums don't ever 'pop'. They're there but they're kindof drowned out by the guitar.

All in all, I still hold belief that the final mixes on the final album will blow everyone away. Not sell 30 million copies or whatever, but really be good stuff. But that's assuming the album comes out, so here's hoping.

If Axl's "Oh's" when from the high-pitched squeel to a demonic rough raspy yelp, that'd be awesome.

Rhiad had great potential. IMO, the 2nd album will be a really interesting album. I think it will be a dark, moody album with some cool Pitman stuff and be along the same lines of Pink Floyd.

But then again Album #1 isn't coming out anytime soon so why get excited.

I was at atleast one of the shows you were at (Detroit). I'm not saying that Bucket isn't amazing because clearly he is. His work is full of emotion and I think he was a great fit for GNR, regardless of what some might say.

I was saying in terms of being very animated and "doing what Slash did" he wasn't good at it. Robin does his weird hop steps around the stage and whatnot. As much as Axl ran stageline to stageline, Slash was holding his own back in the day.

I wish Bucket was still in the band. I really do. GNR 2006 with Bucketfoot instead of Bumble would have been legendary.

The leaks we've heard are old. Regardless of your opinion of if they're good or not, the final version will sound more fresh and organic. Even if nothing was changed a final mix and master does wonders....

As much as I love Bucket, he wasn't a replacement for Slash. Maybe in terms of technically prowess and ability but the guy just stood there. He didn't run around the stage or say something goofy into the mic.

I think Robin is a great replacement for Slash interms of stage presence and aura, however they play completely different. Eventhough Robin has a lot of emotion in his playing, he's not the long shredding solo type guitarist. That's where Bumble comes in.

Anyway what BBA said, LEAK motherfucker.

I hate that don't hold your breath quote.

It's like....'don't be fans and follow us, but when we need your money come to shows. And buy the record when it comes out. And fully embrace the new lineup. Don't expect us to update you about anything though....'

I'm sure that we all would click the disconnect button if we could but in many ways I don't think that'll ever happen until Axl dies or this stupid record comes out.

#28 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNRevolution Exclusive! Classic Rock Feb Mag Cover! » 907 weeks ago

Buckethead is the shit. Bumblefoot is the shit. Ron isn't as enigmatic or interesting as Bucket, but the fuckers can play.

It breaks my heart to read all this. Axl is badass. Looking at that cover is something we should see once every day on a handful of Rock mags. We should hear this album. The world should embrace it.

Ugh. It's so frustrating.

#29 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy's Fate » 908 weeks ago

It won't leak until the album is put into production. Only high level executives have access to the tracks, so unless someone steals a band member's iPod, then we're shit out of luck.

I would assume there will be a digital download prior to the hard copy to help prevent sales loss and all that, so I think unless it's an old demo being hoarded, the chance for a leak is a moot point.

#30 Re: Guns N' Roses » I Feel 2008 Is the Year » 908 weeks ago

It's interesting when the album could/would come out, but yes I think it'll be this year. If it's a traditional release first, I'd say very late in the year like November.

I really hope they go the digital route and reward the fan's patience. That being said, I really don't care anymore. The forums are full of useless dribble and my enthusiasm is waning.
