I thought the hit on Heap was dirty, and Harrison's two were headhunting too, although pretty damn close to legal. The others I've heard complained about... I just think it'd be asking too much of the defense to say they have to find a safer way to make those plays. Receivers running full speed around a defense in zone are gonna get lit up.

There are some songs of theirs I really like once they got past their screamo phase (Sidewinder, Trashed and Scattered, Afterlife, Gunslinger) but I don't like any of their albums front to back. The drumming was always too busy for me and sometimes they get kinda cheesy, and while M. Shadows has his moments he's very far from my favorite rock singer.

Pominville had to be taken off on a stretcher after a vicious and illegal hit last night, then the Sabres fail to make anything happen with a 5 minute powerplay. Special teams is suspect and the D is giving up way too many turnovers through the first few games. Hopefully as the season moves along they'll tighten up play but giving up goals like we have so far is pretty atypical for Ruff's Sabres teams, even in the bad years.

Still, I like the team this year.
