Because Nothing has a vocal I can see the song, it needs some stuff but I listen to it. Soul and Maximus are also finished tracks. Same for D and Curly. So it comes to As it Began but that has a great 70s piano atmosphere. So probably Began as I’m not listening to it as a track, but it could be a very epic Axl song at some point. If you were the producer you’d be pushing Axl to work on it and he’d throw your KFC out the window.

The whole disc is pretty interesting, Hard to actually say what kind of order I’d put them in at this point.

Soul, Maximus I have in my mind. But D tune and Curly are heavy Alt rock tracks. Intro to Maximus reminds me of some Slipknot track part. I could see Nothing getting a Bucket solo and Ron might’ve add some extra guitar layers.

As it Began has some Moonlight Mile feel, Axl swimming with dolphins again. Thyme reminds me of UNKLE’s movie soundtrack album.

Overall quite an enjoyable disc.

Disc 4 is like a Pink Floyd album. It’s so easy to see each Disc being the basis for an album especially with left over tracks.

Thyme is an easy one as there’s no vocal or tune. Could be a good outro to CD II though.

Expect Soul Monster to win this one. Need to listen to D tune, Curly, As it Began more.

tracklisting wise I always thought that Oh my god would open, followed by Silkworms but there is almost a AFD type side 1 with a UYI type side 2

Chinese Democracy
Silkworms
Riad n the Bedouins
IRS
There was a Time

Madagascar
The Blues
Atlas Shrugged
Perhaps
Prostitute

I liked Libertad, there was a broader spectrum of songs, that could captured GNR. He also did Evil Empire and Rock or Bust. They are cuter than CD. CD turned out like an Back in Sgt Peppers. It’s shaped like a 90s hard rock album but has prog rock wiring.

MIKE CLINK is the only answer

Quite possibly Clink and get that Geffen stamp on the back of the cd.

Atlas is the better song but Perhaps has heavier parts not unlike IRS. Atlas is more the single. If they put out Hardschool before the album, then Atlas on release it would set the scene for Soul Monster to be the epic.

I like both tracks and they probably work better as less layered tracks. But lyrically they both seem less defiant than CD tracks. Sorry and ITW are more pop rock. These are more Axl epic territory.

Atlas has some magic to it.
