Are Crash Diet, Bring It Back Home, and Just Another Sunday a couple years newer than previously thought? I cant imagine skipping those if they belonged on the set. Maybe those are for UYI.
Also surprised Sentimental Movie, Too Much, Too Soon, etc. aren't included but I don't like those songs anyways.
Illusions era, 1990-ish.
It's been awhile since I dusted off the "Unwanted Illusions" stuff but some were recorded at RS Studios and the Hellhouse and a few we don't know the origin of.

PAUL TOBIAS IS BACK IN A 'HUGE' WAY!
The song has some cool sections but you can only do so much polishing to a mediocre song.
As far the AFD set, I dig the cover but the cover text is a little too big. It annoys me.
Can you guys cue me in on where you think the new guitar is? Sounds pretty much the same to me.

I remember him saying that on Stern in-between chuckles and (presumably) bong rips with Sebastian Bach.
Matt Sorum also once noted that November Rain and Estranged were one song.

I don't see the appeal in a remaster.
I remember conversations with music nerds back in the day about the Super CDs being better mastered or something like that but that's for the birds. I've never listened to Appetite and really wanted any changes. Mix, master, anything.
But the Illusions records? You could make a strong argument for changing something on half of the songs. Both production-wise and vocal tracks, overdubs, takes, etc.
Anyway, my guess is this rig tops out at 2 CDs. You've gotta hold something back for the inevitable discography box set.
Or Guns is really, really done. And we're ahead of schedule and everyone's in full fuck it mode. AFD box set now, UYI box set a half decade later, and then wrap up the whole enchilada another five after that.

Is it going to have a majority of stuff we already heard? Of course. I'll be buying it anyways.
If they give us something worth buying, I'll be there.
If they try to release the polished up Appetite C-sides one per year, I'll tell them to go screw.

If we employ Axl's razor, it's going to be the lowest scale thing possible.
The ground floor is a Sirius XM partnership live streamed on GN'R's website.
The floor above that is a re-release of AFD that rekindles the fire of this year's tour. The release will naturally be months off.
As a note, GunsNRoses.com now redirects to GNR.fm.
My personal wish would be an Axl-curated playlist that is new each month and comes with a new GNR track every month.

It sounds like the same recording, imo.
I'm hardly on an expert on that song or era though.
The originals and Lies had this faux live effect on them so this is just more true to life. They still are going with a live sound style but with a traditional mix and no garbage audience overdubs or pumped in noise.

It'd be amazing if we got a box set with the '99 version included on one of the disks. That'll never happen though.
It'd also be amazing if the Rick Rubin thing was real and they just re-recorded Appetite.
I'd love to have that 1999 thing though.
