Ok so he does say it. I heard him say gnrdaily.com hates him but I must have blanked out when he said this forum hates him. 14

I agree with you neemo, it's basically the outspoken Buckethead fans that come across as hating him. I think the whole thing is comical because Bucket fans would get angry that Slash fans wouldn't give him a chance, but now there are Bucket fans that won't give Ron a chance.

I don't recall saying that we hate him, but I will have to listen again. I believe he said it about another site.

From reading the initial posts about the interview it sounded like it was a trainwreck, but I listened to it and it's not that bad. I just wonder what the average Trunk listener, the people who haven't followed the CD saga,  thought of it.

I feel sorry for Ron because he's obviously a good guy who loves to connect with the fans, but he is not allowed to talk about anything. He still tries to connect despite that but he always ends up with egg on his face.

I'll bet it'll be even cheaper than that on the week of release.

My bet is $6.99 or $7.99

Which is all the more reason to wait. I think it sucks they have it at full price now to take advantage of all the fans that want to pre-order ASAP.

No one is taking advantage of anyone.

Your credit card isn't charged until the item is shipped or you pick it up. You get a total on your receipt now, but that total will change when the item releases at a lower price.

Yes, they don't charge you until it is ready to shipped, but I am pretty sure you get charged the current price which is the price you agreed to pay when you pre-ordered. I don't think they have the pre-order policy Amazon has, but I may be wrong.

No, Best Buy has a huge chain of stores. For me it is simpler to order online because I can't be bothered with the crazy Christmas shoppers.

I think the average person is going to say "who the fuck is this guy" to pretty much every new member so I don't see Brain of Freese gives them much more credibility in the public eye. I like Brain and Freese, but I like Frank's drumming on CD so I can't complain.

I don't doubt your claim about wal-mart, but it's ac/dc! That's nuts. Good for them. Shows you the power of good reviews.

I don't understand what you mean by that statement. You sound as if AC/DC is some joke band. They are one of the biggest bands in the world and have sold over 200 million albums worldwide. I'm not shocked to see them have such a huge debut. AC/DC also released a strong single to radio which IMO is a much stronger radio single than CD is.

One of the problems with the vocals, something I noticed immediately, but let slide (because's it's Axl's thing) is this double and triple vocaling the fucking tracks.

I can't find one single person other than him that likes that shit. Not one.

It makes the vocals sound overproduced, and unbalanced. He started doing that during the Illusions, and believe me, it's still just as stupid sounding now as it was then.

The man has a beautiful voice. I love it. But I would much rather see him go low, mid, then high, as the sound keeps building throughout (think KOHD live), but doing this multi-layered vocal technique just leaves you... why?

After a few listens, instrumentally the song is the strongest it's ever been, but I think the vocals were better on the 2006/07 demos.

I completely agree with this. The vocals are my only complaint about the song. I find the layers to be distracting. The vocals on the demos were perfectly fine.

I don't think they could back out, but I imagine it could be delayed.
